Cloning queries, would this be possible?

Hello, I am wondering whether it would be viable to take a few clones dip then in a rooting gel and put them straight into moist soil outside with a humidity dome over the top(by humidity dome I mean the small ones that fit directly on top of a pot, pound land sell pots with these included FYI) I can't see any reason as to why this couldn't be done however I am very inexperienced so I am not sure, if you have any tips or input please feel free, any feedback is appreciated, thanks a lot!

Agreed. Any direct sunlight would roast the cuts in a few minutes. Light doesn't kill them. Heat DOES. Indoors, under a hood with a large CFL works wonderfully.

Yep, you sure can.....you could even do it without clonex depending on your soil mix.....BTW, 2 liter bottles cut in half ( depending on shape ) work great for cloning indoors under CFL's.

you can do that but i would clone them INSIDE with a regular cfl, the sun would be too bright for cuttings imo but it might work
Thanks for the responses and I'm finding out for a friend who can't have anything indoors anymore yet still wants to get some clones on the go so we've been brainstorming ha by the way they would be in a shaded area as well as being in England so it is not stupidly hot as it can be in say California, Again thanks for the replies!

The plants he is hoping to take clones from we're started late May so a little on the late side but nothing worth worrying about, I was under the impression that the clone will have the same genetics so they obviously won't become monsters but will however flower at an appropriate time, correct me if I am wrong as knowledge is power ha

No you're not wrong but they will be small in stature and small in yield.
That's fine by me as they're essentially free, do you have any rough idea as to how much they would yield seeing as they have around 3 months ish left in the growing season? Thanks for your help!

8-10 days for clones to root, repot and another 2 weeks for root growth/some veg then it's basically 2 months of flower and hope they finish up before it gets too cold. That's why I asked originally, you're cutting it very close.

You can clone outdoors even in an aero cloner. no dome. It's all about temps though. If the temps are 85- you can do it. Just keep them in a shady area.

Very good to hear! Here is the plan please lemme know if anything is wrong or can be improved, will take a few clones dip them in rooting gel, put them into slightly moist soil (pot rather than ground) cover each with there own individual humidity domes (which are the equivalent of the top of a 2ltr bottle with a small coverable hole at the top) and then hope for the best! Neither me or my friend have taken clones before so is there any tips you can give me? As well as this how much water will they require, does it require more or less or should I just wait for soil to dry out? Thank you very much!
