Cloning: Top or Bottom?

Hi RIU - Hoping for some experienced guidance on cloning. Should the clones be cut from the mother from the top or the bottom? From just below the 2nd or 3rd node? Lastly and I now this has been asked before but with no definite answer. Can you keep cloning from clones forever without losing genetics or should you stop after 2 or 3 generations? Looking forward to the feedback. Thanks in advance.

Cut from the lowest laterals possible, as there is said to be more hormones there, plus you don't want to damage the uppermost top bud sites ...lol
...yes you can keep taking mothers from clone ...but with some strains, they fade in quality over time, there is a world record for keeping a mother 30 plus years in Iran I think...?
but most growers change there mother every year
