Cloning under a 250 watt mh

yes, I have successfully cloned under a 400 watt MH. But you'll want to make sure that it's rather far away.... Several feet, and keep them moist always, as the MH tends to dry them out way faster.

I'm with ya' Northern lights. Floros are just so damn practical.

- Why run a 250 watt bill when a 64 watt or less floro will do wonders for clones, and save you money at the same time..
floros; cheap to buy, cheap to replace bubs, and cheap to run. Unless you don't care about having the extra money..

I got a 125 watt floro but I got that 250 watt hortilux blue running my mothers and there is plenty of room in there just thought that i could save some juice just using the mh for cloning too rather than hooking up my floro too.

I just like to use some homedepot cheapo's. T12 25 bucks a piece. A case of T12 high output bulbs was 15 bucks. 40 watt bulbs.

Ok I'll keep my floro but I'm gonna try under the 250 mh off in the corner.

there is nothing wrong with fluros they will work fine... but ideally and a more professional appraoch would be using the mh. space matters also... im not sure about 250. but im vegging my 3 under a 400mh and they love it. clones need lots of light and there is no arguement. a MH will provide more light/lumens than floros. depening on how many lights you have. but for me it also organizes and simplifies things. befor i had lights and wires everywhere, constantly having to move. now with the mh its gone n my closet is lite up like the 4th of july lol ... ive read many post with ppl argueing about mh/floros for veg/clones. guess it comes down to $$. my water n hydro is all included so i pay nothing
