Cloning, What am i doing wrong?

Okay so i cut a few clones off one of my plants a few days ago.
I cut the stalk on a 45 degree angle, dipped it in clonex then put it in pots containing potting mix.
After a day the tip of the plant kind of bent over ,
all of my cuttings died.
What am i doing wrong?

Get some kind of cloning medium. I have been using rapid rooters recently. Buy a humidity dome or make one, keep the medium moist and very light veg nutes and I like to spray them with a little h2o once or 2x a day.

wait untill there are a lot of roots coming out of the bottom of your medium before u transplant to soil.

Use seed starter soil not potting mix, buy some translucent beer cups, poke 3 holes in the bottom 1/2 the size of a pencil, fill with starter soil, water with Ph 6 to Ph 6.6 water with a little cloning jell mixed in with the water. If you have Liquid karma use it as recommended on the bottle. Use the same pencil to make a hole at least 1 1/2 deep and put the cutting in. Use the pencil to gently fill the hole in, make sure the soil touches the stem, it is important to push the stem into the soil at the bottom of the hole for max contact. Water with Ph water and Liquid Karma when the soil pulls back from the top rim and give them a good watering you will see the water get absorbed through the beer glass. You will also see the roots develop and know when to transplant them. There is enough food in the starter soil for 4 to 6 weeks so don't give them anything but as above.

Should hydro nutrients be added if rooting in a coco medium or in jiffy pucks? I just cut some cuttings off my plants, and I am really hoping these clones will make it. tap water is 150ppm here so maybe bring it up to 250ppm?

I say fuck heatpads, and temps arent as important as people make them out to be when rooting clones. Dont fry em with a hot light, use your clonex and any cloning medium, keep em humid till there is a lot of roots. Its literally that simple.

Temperature has to be 82. don't be cheap buy a thermometer.. preferably digital.. as for your humidity dome you can buy some peat bags and a plastic container from the dollar store. I use Root powder but anything works i guess. Cover the lit for the first 3-4 days make sure u drill two little holes for a lil air to get in. make sure there 24 hour lights. then after the 4th day you remove the lid but leave it where it is.... water regularly and keep it moist for another 6, then you will see roots spring out from the side of the peat mos. Btw as for strain, this method works on my Gold Skunk and Wild Rose, Sativa and Indica Bukkake

i use a heat pad and have found that with it i get roots twice as fast. im cloning now and only have one heat pad but didnt have enough room for two domes on one pad. the clones on the pad are showing roots at a week in, the clones without the pad are showing nothing. the pad also seems to keep the humidity up.

What if i got a empty ice cream container, leave the lid on, poke a few holes in the top of the lid to stick the stem through the holes with a rooting compound on the end and left it for a few days?
