Anytime there is a sufficient clone to take, although its not recomended during flowering.

When is the best time to start cloning.....
It's generally considered wise to wait until the plant is at least 8 weeks old from seed. This insures that the plant is sexually mature and ready to start flowering immediately and mature plants will have better success at rooting.:weed:

Younger plants are more difficult to handle because they are hollow. After a plant is about one year old it is no longer hollow and none of the clones taken off of it will be hollow either. When I do a seedling I snip the first available clone, code it with a color thumbtack and bud the seedling. If the new strain works out the clone will go on to become a new mother.
