cloning

I just want to know when taking clones when you do your final 45 degree cut just before you stick it in the rooting medium do you cut before the node in the center of the node or after the node? I cut a bunch and cut threw the node at a 45 degree angle. will these root or shouold I just take more?

Because it seems like they taking forever to root but they r green and not dying
