i'm going to start flowering next week and i want to get a cutting for a clone before i start. this is my first grow and im kind of nervous about the whole idea. i have the rooting hormines and shit, and i've watched videos and read stuff about the cut and stuff.

should i not bother messing with a healthy plant, or should i just go for it?

i would go for it. if you've got the rooting hormones and you have the general idea of what to do, you might as well give it a shot. gotta start somewhere.

just make sure you use a clean blade to make the cutting, and also make sure to cut at an angle to maximize the surface area for roots on your cutting.

also, cutting little notches in your cutting helps to stimulate root growth.

at least you know you'll have a healthy plant either way.

just go for it and after the cutting give her a week more in veg to stabilise fully again:) so you get some clones to continue with and have a bushy plant in flowering;)

actually cutting at a angle does nothing....just some bs info someone has tossed out there......just letting you know....but its not like it hurts anything.

Make a few extra clones just in case the others poop out. Believe me it worth it. Better to have to weed out the extras then have only one and it dies.

Cutting at an angle is important because this will help increase the surface area it has to absorb water.

^^ right, cutting in angle is no bull at all, since there are no roots in the beginning this surface has to suck up most of the water needed to sustain the clone, misting it will only add 10% of the water needed.

mogie is totally on point here:)
