cloning

I always take clones from vegging moms only. Think about it, when the plant has advanced to flower mode most of the incoming energy is used to grow buds. You want to take your cuttings while the rooting hormones are still prompting the plant to grow roots, ie. during veg period. Note. Wait until the do.nor mom is at least 6 weeks old and you will have better success rooting clones.

Good luck, BigSteve.
Some clone easier in flower.

Monster cropping is the process of cutting a clone from flowering mother.

Yea it has to reveg but it will be a monster plant. Branches everywhere.

It really doesn't make much of a difference. Take the cutting from soft growth and not old woody growth.

I am going to take my clones in the am from a plant that has been on 12/12 for 2wks and showed sex 3 days ago. Already has small nugs or clusters of pistils. My only worry is that it may cause the main plant to hermie. Any thoughts?

I have cloned flowering plants, especially if the flowering plants looks to be killer!!!! You really have nothing to lose. I use red sprayer heads in my cloner so they root pretty fast. The store bought cloners work the same as the DIY ones too. A good rule when cloning flowering plants is to take them before 28 days after the flip. They just seem to have a higher success rate.
