Close to harvest, too wet out..

Went outside to shake off my ladies when I came to notice a furry little bud towards the end of a branch, damned bud rot. Pinched off what was moldy(maybe a J worth) but now Im concerned if I should cut the rest...they still got about a week left but they won't be any good moldy, and it's supposed to rain through friday morning here. If I cut them now I'd probably lose a good amount of yield and ripeness...should I wait and just try to keep them under the protective trees for now, or cut my small loss and trim em up. Only one of my two large ones shown any sign of mold, but I know that stuff spreads well, and with two more days of on and off rain it's like perfect for mold. Anyone?

you are a week from harvest??? If so Id just take em down now to avoid a entire loss by spread of mold. That shit spreads quick...
Ya I'm pretty sure this is the last week, according to weather predictions it's supposed to drop to low 30's and upper 20's at night in my area this Sunday. I was just hoping to stretch it out so the buds swelled up more. A lot of the pistils are white with half of the tips brown. Prolly about a 40%brown/30%white(lower mostly)/and 30% half brown pistils. They probably could use two whole weeks but frost permitting and wetness+signs of mold...And it's only one of my plants with a small amount of mold..of course it's one of the two 7'4" plants...so a lot of work to cut down too.

yea, if half the trichomes are brownish or amber in color than I would say their pretty much done. Its gonna be real cold and wet there and you never know, afer tonight it could be worse or spread farther....Do you got pics....Id hate to give you wrong advice or have you ruin your whole crop......But id pull if I were you....If they only got a week left than they wont fatten up much more....The cold weather is stunting them and lowering thc levels as it persists...

try to keep em dry by shakin the lose water off or by giving a canopy at night to prevent rain build up during night. With it raining and being cold,,,its gonna freeze your plants out....Like you jumping into a swim pool at cold temps.....Shocking right??

Well strangely we're having extremely warm weather right now, which is making it foggy, muggy, and soaking with rain. It's been in the 50's and 60's day or night and will be till friday when a cold front makes it plummet. And the trichs are about 60% cloudy with 40% amber, so at most I lose a little weight but will still enjoy the fruits of the labor.

yea you pull at 80% amber so you are close to done....The high heat and humidity with cool dampness is causing the rot,,,,if the weathers not changing it will get worse.....Save your crop and enjoy it.....If it gets worse its gonna drag down your thc levels....your yield is almost full so you wont lose much weight,,,just thc...

IMG_0458.jpgIMG_0460.jpgIMG_0457.jpgIMG_0455.jpgThere are some pics, sorry not great quality snagged em quick. As you can see why Im hesitant about pulling, I still think they need that week till frost though the trichs look good.

your looking at 3 weeks about, so dont pulll, just fight the mold. there not even that dense yet so mold should not be a big problem. if you pull now ull get alittle bit of hay, what good is that?

Ya this particular plant probably wasn't good for this climate. All my others are far more developed, and with the pending freezing weather coming this weekend I don't know how much choice I'll have. As for the mold, it was only on one bud and very obvious..looked like fur. I'll try to keep it dry, I have it under some thick tree's out of the rain and when the sun comes out I'll move them back out to dry off.

Those buds are no where near done.

Remove any moldy buds you see.

Remove the moldy parts and dry the rest and sample it.

Don't pull your plants until you get a hard frost, killing most of the sun leaves.

Hang and dry, the next morning.

Stick with indicas for an early finish.

Did you plant your seeds after July 1st?

They seem very slow. Especially if you are in the Northwest, or Canada.

I actually started them indoors in january, they were about 2ft when I put them outside in early May. I pulled the one moldy bud off at the stalk just below it and removed it. I'll try and keep the big undeveloped ones going till the hard frost. Hope for drier weather.

Got my fingers crossed for you.

Keep me posted on future grows.

Maybe we can figure out why things aren't farther along.

Thanks, ya it's strange the two biggest plants aren't as far along as the three smaller ones, which are just 8 stalks each with 3 inch round colas. The three smaller ones were a few femenized seeds and the two big ones were some "good green" plants. They took the longest to show sex and were the oldest ones. I moved the big ones to a more open area(losing lots of leaves on trees right now) and the area all around my plants are covered in tiny mushrooms. Mold heaven right now so they're in areas that get more light and have no mold around them. Just wanting them to make it to the first frost predicted the second week of October, even though the meteorologist says it'll be in the high 20's-low 30's this weekend..
