Irrigation System
Problem: When you have more than one or two plants in a scrog, its real hard to water the ones in the middle and back. A regular watering can just cant get through there.
Solution: Run water lines to the plants, just like the hydro guys do.
I had a setup like this when I only grew 2 plants at a time. It worked, but the plants often needed water at different times. So this time around, each plant is going to have an independent watering system. Also, Im doing this on a budget, since my old lady noticed how much I spend on growing equipment lol. For each plant I used 2 soda bottles, regular 2 liter bottles, 5 cents each. Plus a 75 cent 1/4" T fitting, a 90 cent 3/4" thread to 1/4" hose adapter, and about $3 worth of 3/8" clear hose. So just under $5 per plant. Im doing 3 together since I flower my plants in groups of 3.
I cut the base bottles in half and screw them to a board for stability. Also put some double sided tape between the bottles, for more stability.
I cut the bottoms off the reservoir bottles, and epoxy the 1/4" adapters in
This is how they sit
Cut holes in the base bottles for the hose to go through
At the other end, this ring sits on top of the dirt, about 2 inches from the walls of the pot. Water comes in through the T fitting and goes out through tiny holes drilled in it every inch. My camera isnt good enough to show the little holes.
