From above:
The dotted green line is the 11.5" shelf at the top of the closet that i have misc junk and stuff stored on. The greyish bars are the triangle brackets holding up the shelf. The grey tigerstriped tube is the exhaust from the veg to flower.

View from the side:
The tigerstriped tube coming from the top of the flower tent will be the exhaust. The only problem is the space between the shelf and the top of the tent is 5" and Im using 6" ducting so Im goin to have to either force 6" flexible ducting into the gap or raise the shelf one inch.

Ok so this has taken me about 3 hours to draw up this. Me and my (now) fiance moved into a house not too long ago shared by 3 other people. We stay in one bedroom and share the bathroom with one other person (4br 2ba). The grow will be in my closet (Room has 2 identical closets so she gets one and I get one) Because I dont have tons of clothes, I managed to downsize my clothes to a small dresser and have my other seasonal clothes in bins. My closet shares a wall with the dining room and shared bathroom (See picture for clearer understanding) so during this grow i will be keeping it as quite as possible (quiter fans with smaller carbon filter+ona) I'm not necesarily hiding it from my roommates but from anyone who comes into the house. The walls are about 5" thick so sound isnt dampened much.

I plan on having one 36"x36"x78" tent to flower in and a 36"x24"x60" for veg and drying out after harvest. I plan to move the plants from the veg tent to the flower tent the same day that I harvest thus creating room for drying in the veg tent. If I keep a mother I will just set it on my dresser with the light above it for the ~3days that the plants are drying and then moving back to the tent once the bud is in jars. I will run the exhaust from the veg/dry tent into the flower tent so that during drying days i dont have to install an extra filter. The exhaust from the flower tent will be pumped out the top and through to the front of the closet. I am considering cutting through the wall so the air leaves the closet and into our room, but I want to know for sure i can fix this when we leave without it being noticeable.
The flower tent will be a 3x3 vertical grow with a barebulb 400w. The veg tent will use CFLs. The 3x3 will be a virtual sun tent because of the frenchdoor opening and price, the veg tent I'm undecided on which brand to use. I will post links to the tents in the next post

So yeah thank you for reading and as always please post your thoughts and concerns, I enjoy reading feedback :D

over 100 views and no one has anything to say? yall are cray cray
That looks like a damn good use of space guy! i dig it. i wish i had another tent so i could be vegging and flowering at the same time! Lucky.. But the only thing i guess i have a question about is the people you are sharing the house with.. Im assuming its ok with them? Because if you try to hide it they will probably get a whiff of it when your flowering! Trust me Ive gone through this experience when I was 17 and tried to turn the closet in my room in my parents house into a growop.. LOL

They know we smoke but I'm not going to tell them simply because I don't know if i trust them completely when it comes to having hundreds of dollars of pot in my closet. We have a lock on our door and then another one on my closet. Im hoping with a carbon filter and an ona block they wont be able to smell it except when I open it (mostly at night)

I have been trying to find a split level tent so I dont have to take my veg plants out to dry but most are hella expensive, and while I could build one it would be more trouble than its worth and be more expensive. Does anyone know of a split room tent besides the expensive darkroom/ secret jarden tents?

Gotcha. Whats wrong with building a little drying cabinet on the shelf above the tents? Get some wood from lowes, screws, and maybe some plywood cut to the dimensions of your shelf or whatever p[at you want to designate. You could put hangers in there and have a safe dark place to let em dry!

Wait so you havent bought your tents yet? Because those are new dimensions on that new drawing. But yeah that may be more efficient, always better to have more room to flower. How many girls do you plan on having? Anyway to convince your lady to get rid of the dresser to make some room for a bigger veg? Lol. Dont forget to save room for ballasts, power cords, reservoir, ac unit, humidifier/dehumidifier, work table to mix nutes maybe? I have one and its really helped keep things nice and tidy in the grow area. Maybe on the wall opposite of the veg tent at the bottom of the picture to the right of the flower tent, screw a piece of plywood to the wall(mount on studs), and you can have a wall to keep tools, hang power strips and ballasts. The less shit to trip on the better :eyesmoke:

I haven't bought anything yet, I'm just brainstorming. I'm Thinking Im going to put my dresser over on the other wall and use a 36x20 tent for veg. As far as the work table, we have a 2x2 table in the room to work on, there wouldn't be enough room in the closet for it. I'm Thinking I'm going to hang my ballast so it can be up and out of the way. I dont know how many plants I want to have in flower at once. I know I want a perpetual grow with staggered harvests so Im thinking of putting 2 decent size bushes into flower every 2 weeks. I'm going to run selene by sannies http://www.sanniesshop.com/selene-cannabis-seeds.html?selected_section=wg_inquiry

Thanks for the input guys

Sounds like you've put some thought into this, which is good. Your biggest obstacle, as with most tent grows, is where are you going to get cool fresh air and where are you going to dispel the stale hot air? If you're just blowing it outside the tent into the same room it could get pretty toasty in there. Good luck.

yea, There is about 1/2" opening under my door for intake. I'm going to have to exhaust through my wall and into my room which isn't my ideal design but the best one I can do right now

If you're worried about heat you can always set up the exhaust to run through a box with multple computer fans blowing in it. Make/find like a 12"x 12" x12" box, put the tent exhaust in one side, have active intakes on the sides of the box (the more the better it will cool) and a couple fans exhausting it should cool you're air down considerably. You can get fans cheap (>$10) and get a led driver with constant 12V to wire them all to and bingo, mini air cooler.
