Ive grown a few crops before with no problems but this time around I have ended up with a whole closet full of seeded plants, now i grew from bag seed like always and made sure i pulled the two males that appeared at the first sight of those bad little balls, I have check out all the girls and it doesnt seen any turned hermi ( I've delt with those before too ). i cant find any light leaks into my box and i even only use a green light bulb in the room. So what cause this , stress ? all the plants heve seeds not just one. Im growing in soil like i always have but this is my first time useing my new 400W HPS and a new brand of nutes ( Technaflora Recipe For Success - ). the buds arent any thing as nice as what i have had before. Can I tell any thing about when the plant is "ripe" by the look ok the seeds

Male plants develop faster than females. Although they will develop more quickly under 12/12, they do not require a photoperiod to spread pollen. The pods can bust open and release pollen before the females have very clearly demonstrated their sex - even if they are the same age. This occurs naturally just as the females begin the flower cycle. Even after the males are gone, the pollen can stay in an indoor grow space for a long time. How old were they when you culled the males?

There are only two possible scenarios that produce seeds: males in the garden release pollen, or the females get stressed enough to go hermie. There just isn't another cause for seed production.

that happened to a friend of mine last fall his crop was all from clones tho and they all got polinated from an outside source.. just some random pollen floating around in the air.. turned out that mystery pollen was dank cause i took his seeds and they were all female for one and the smoke was incredible.. one of the highest thc potent plants i have seen.. im gonna take an 1/8 to my local club and have it tested next harvest

Must have been some hermie pollen if they all grew into females.

Obviously getting pollen from somewhere. Could you have gone near a male and got some on you??

A tiny amount of pollen goes an awfully long way.

im thinking that maybe the one male i found in my room very early on into flowering must have released some pollen and it just stayed around the room on the walls or something

^Either that, or they's a pollen sac hidden somewhere, that you haven't spotted. I lost two grows this year, back-to-back, because of that very reason. I never did locate the hermie,(I had 3 strains, and wanted to eliminate the one that hermied, then continue with the others strains) so I shut down, disinfected everything, and started over. That sucked, but I had no choice. I couldn't risk losing another batch of plants.
