im attaching a picture of what i want to accomplish but need help with the ventalation aspect, 1 of 2 ways i could i vent stright into attic but make it where it covers a larger area instead of having it displace in one spot( hence making a hot spot) or have the intake and exhuast on the same wall just 6+ft apart.(with this one it would be venting back into same room.) starting at the top going to the bottom i will be running what looks like this 150w 250w 150w with a total of 550watts hps. a fan at the canopy give er take pushing the hot up towards the exhuast and helping cool the lights down. oging down to mid way through the plant have 2 fans 1 on each 2ft wall to blow on the plants then basically on top of the pot would be where the intake would go. and i have it raised on the bottom so its not on the floor and to make it water proof. the only thing building wise i would have to do is a 2ft wall framing rasing the floor and water proofing with cutting a hole in the wall for intake/exhuast.

i know it looks comewhat of a hydro setup but its not just soil.room 1.jpg

also subbed until your sorted as i`m kinda in the same boat as you, new room and working up to the vents..

there only two weeks old at the minute, and i`ve moved from the attic out to the shed for a more secure room and concrete roof saves worrying about the flir (used alot here)...

House ac on temp avg on the low to mid 70's window closed if I can find a way to vent in the attic without making a hotspot like if I make a long vent and just cut lil holes so it vent in the atfic equally or something. Or find a way to vent it to the dryer or something everything gets scrubbed with a carbon filter so not worried on smell.

dryer is a good idea.. many obsticales to get into it..

theres ways and means if the attic is really where you want to vent.. how handy are you at diy???

Any reason youre using such small lights? 150s arent going to penetrate. Even if you're running a SOG, that's cutting it close.

2 250s or a single 400 might serve you better

Already have a 150 order another and when room is complete im adding a 250. I can lower the 150 closer and angle then inwards and have the 250 smack in the middle, might also just get 2 250 but room needs some works first.

Also what is the framing spacing 12 ot 16 ins? Instead of making it in my closet I got a good spot in my basement I can use just gott make it rasied from concrete and flooding):

just to get room built im looking at about 400-500 to get framing drywall sealed painted raised and about another 300-400 to get lights fans and soild nutes stuff like that, but i could start on the 3rd if i can get the permits real quick.

as for the drawing if i do it in other spot basically same set up but instead of 2x4x8 it would be 3x4x8 and would definatly do 2 250w. maybe with some t5s as supplment? who knows. but i will have enough to egt all lumber and stuff to get room up but not electricty powered. that will have to wait till the end of the month.

yeah ha well right now i am in a 2x2x5.5 with a 150whps and a 135wled, upgrading to a 250 friday also, but once i get my room built i have a few power cords rated at 13A and 1625ws, figure the 3 lights and timer on one cord and exhuast intake and aircoole dhoods on other line. till i have actual outlets in there. really considering that 60amp mini fuse box, if not then hopefully atleast a 40amp, when room is complete with electricty then i will start finishing the basement. once house is done. on market and on to the next one.

60amp would be better if you can hold out until you can afford the one you really need...

i think its a better economy that way if you get me, i also mis-typed the last reply, the flower room is on bottom and veg on top .... still a long way off the flowering so haven`t even purchased the 600w`s yet, was also looking into light movers but i don`t really know that much about them yet....

how do you find the led? i know when growing with them they use very very little nutes and even a small feed can burn the plant? do you find this to be true?
