Closet Grow - Proper Ventilation / use of space?

Hey guys,
I'm starting a grow soon, the lighting I'll be using is a 400w HPS as well as a bunch of 25w CFLs for a little bit of extra light. The closet below is the one I'll be using, as you can see it's a standard double-door sliding closet, around 8 feet wide and 10 feet tall. Obviously I'll be taking all the stuff out, haha.

I'm planning to grow 2 plants in bubble buckets, and I may attempt a scrog as well.

What do you think would be the best way to ventilate this? I found a local deal on a 400 CFM 6" inline fan with a carbon filter, would that work well? Any suggestions would be amazing.

That fan will be more then enough to ventilate that closet, and if you get a reflector that has a hole for ventilation like a cool tube it will keep your temp down hardcore and still ventilate your entire room. most people grow in closets like that without ventilation haha. And If you're only growing two plants I suggest vegging them for a long time to make em nice and big, hell you could LST for a couple weeks to get a nice even canopy and then throw a screen over the top and train em into it, veg for 4 to 6 weeks and you'd have yourself some nice lookin plants man!bongsmilie:weed:

Thanks man, glad to hear that'll work good for me. Would you recommend that I build a kind of grow-tent inside the closet, or should I just line the walls with mylar and use it as-is?

i got a very similar closet with a 6 inch vortec and carbon you will be set and id look into an air cooled reflector because my shit is running hot with a 400w and 25w cfls because i havnt hooked the fan up yet i keep the door open so both will work well either way

You don't have to make a grow tent out of it, I'd just put up mylar. If you wanted you could take the door off the closet and surround the outsides of the closet it Velcro and just buy thick black plastic and use it as a light tight Velcro door for the night time. And if you have a carbon filter and everything is properly ventilated you should be just fine in the smell department
