Closet Grow, With DYI Floro Light

its now 11/11 yes thats right all of them. holy pop on stick. i think i did self my old plant

my next grow will be from seed and with the same seeds. if i get at least 80% fems on that batch well i can be sure. anyway. WOO

they are not as happy as they could be. ive locked out low end nuts with low ph water.. i feel dumb. im correcting that currently im gonna post pics later after water. just had daily check on em.

still correcting things. they are not right. they are better... i have a 600 watt hps in bound. i will put it up asap and it will be on. i do no have any idea how much i wil yield but i have thoughts... great thoughts. at least a pound. im beyond happy. i mean 11/11 save the one that i put outside? fuck sake !?

now to finish it.

my light arrived today. i think my plants will greatly enjoy the change. it will be slightly more wattage and much greater lumen ratio and penetration. probably a little hotter though. we will see my temps run 70-88 or so in general with my monster rig. this thing can be inline cooled and i have a 6inch exhaust fan so if it gets too hot i know what i have to do.

some of my plants are in bad shape. ive done all the ph correcting im gonna do. i worry about raising it too high now overcorrecting. so from here on its gonna be normal tap ph, about 6.5 or so. most of the plants are still a bit low so that should work out. some have shown lots of progress some just keep getting worse. now i know not to screw too much with ph. i coulda probably ran the whole grow with 6.5 and been fine. but i had to try to drop it just a few points, and ended up droping it too much over the course of a month or so.

i just have to keep focus'd and grow this out. another 6-7 weeks should do the job. ill probably start some new seeds soon too. from the same batch to confirm that they are feminised.

apparently i have a SHIT LIGHT.. the ballast runs but the goddamn bulb is crap. the reflector had some damage on one corner the box was dropped in transit im guessing, which also busted up my light im guessing. anyway im pissed. quite..

things are starting to look up. my problems seem to be mostly under control. im getting some decent budage from almost all plants. one is really weak. the massive sativa and the one thats fimmed are the best. i have 5 clones 2 already planted and 3 still in cups getting a good root system, i almost dont even want the clones now. but i suppose i will do something with them. wish i was in a spot a little more private. i would just stick em outdoors. i certainly have no room for em in my main room. i can barely keep the 11 in there straight. here are a few pics the last one is of teh weakest plant.

2 got their first dose of molasses today, with a bit of bat guanno as well, this will be the last time i use any real nit. based ferts unless some show def. plant C was showing slight nit def. this should have her quite happy. will be doing 2-3 a day till i get them all dosed up. then bloom fert then a final flush or 2 i think.

i finally got my new light, and got it up.

its going good so far. its a bit warmer than i figured it would be. will have to see how hot it gets. i think it will be fine. one plant is showing some bad signs not sure of what. thinkin its calcium or magnesium def. +rep if anyone can id what the problem is. i have a thread in problem plant section, the 2 there that have replied think its nute burn, but i have a bit of nute burn on a plant or 2. and ive seen it before. and i dont think it is. maybe im wrong.


gonna be a bitch doing the final flush on this monster sativa. its so big i could barely get it in and out of the door replacing the light. half broke a smaller limb, got it mended and it should be fine. here are a few pics.

zinc defi, and slight nute burn to much magni. thats your prob right there so it might be a lock out so add some bor. and you should be good

thanks for input nelly, but i must disagree. i do no think its zinc def. those will generaly start out at the tips of your leaves and come in. this started in the middle on a single blade or 2. and it cant be too much magnesium. i havent added any extra (other than in my all around nuts) and im sure i was short earlier in the grow. i flushed it and hit it with low strength jacks classic. hopefully that will help.

Plant six has went hermi, while draining after a flush a few weeks back my brother went in to take a piss and killed the light when he left. was out for maybe 20-25 min, that coupled with twice leaving the over head light on in growroom, not the main light, the ceiling one was too much for it to bear. i removed several banana sacs last night, all of them as far as i can tell.

not sure if i want to goahead and harvest it, or keep trying to remove the balls. i hope to not run into so many problems next grow.

so here are a few pics, things are goin good save number six... its still in, pulled an unopened banana sac earlier.

been a while since last update. and since then i have harvested half the crop. first was a hermi that i moved to another room. the light fell on it like 4 days later. had to harvest it right then, it netted about 1.4 oz dry.one more about 6 days after. then i cut 3 more, a couple nights ago. they are still drying so no wt yet. i have a few pics. and one more last night. leaving 5 in flower at current. some are taking forever for some to finish. some i cut a little early cuz they were in bad shape. all the hermi bud is gone. it dried and was gone quick, my bro got 1oz. and i have been smoking on the rest. not much of it left. anway here are the pics.

first is the massive plant. then the shoe box of popcorn and non impressive buds, and the buds drying. the plant i cut last night isnt in any of the drying pics those were taking two nights ago.

then room 2 (Veg), 19 seedlings 3 clones 2, 6 weeks from rooting, one 5. and 8 new clones cut from the 2 bigger clones.

then shots of flower room and the 5 remaining plants therein.

to my other grow journal. i will update this one proper later. i was crunched for time earlier wt was about 3/4 lb from all 11 plants. should have been more but i had lots of problems so im happy that the bud was still good.

from now on in this thread there will mostly be info on my veg room. with my cfl unit. as its a CFL forum. i have 7 clones rooted and vegging under about 450watts right now. they are all doing fairly well. i would say they were cut right about 8-20. we will say day one of veg growth at 9-1. thats close enough

the clones are from clones that are now flowering out in my flower room.

i also have a few more seed started to grow some new mothers. those are just germing.

set the lights to 18-6 yesterday. they had been 24/0 since i started the room. raised the lights a bit this morning and watered. they are looking good. i so wish i had taken more clones. i figured less would make it but only 2 of 9 failed. so im getting better at cloning at least.
