If I were to place a frozen gallon of water infront of the fan every so n so, would that help knock the heat down just a little?

Sorry for asking so damn many questions, I'm waiting for my temperature alarm clock to test ;)

i could see it helping alil but you just need to get some good ventilation.. it will make it alot easier!

alright, with the closet doors closed, it's around 88.1 degrees...I got the window opened a little and its night time, so I'm sure that's cooling the room some. I got some water freezing to experiment with, a fan + ice = cold air perhaps :). I'm afraid during the day temperature may rise.

That temperature is way too hot. You need to invest in or invent an exhaust fan to vent that hot air out of there. Other then that you sound like you have a good set up. Have fun!

If I use the yeast in a jar method for co2 during night time, that should recharge my plants good enough to withstand high temps during the day =D?

i'm running a 400W MH 3 feet away from the little babies in the rockwool, in the hydro medium, etc.

i want to get the environment ready and set, so when they hatch into the sky, they're welcomed to enjoying a happy comfortable life, or as comfy as i can get it...i love them

i should probably raise the light a little, but sooner or later, i'll need to lower it most likely (i'll read on that later)

i have two fans going, waiting for my water filled milk gallon to freeze so i can test that and man...cooling down a closet is hard when you can't add much ventilation, but yea a 400W MH lamp.

The temperture isn't as important as air flow and air exchange. Think about it for a moment ... mj grows in desert climates as well as cooler climates. How hot does it get in Afganistan? :)

Vi makes a good point also it might help if the next time you get seeds or clones do some research on the strain if you cant get any cooler:)

Shit, I wake up around 1pm and the temp is at a 92 degrees! How the hell do I cool this shit down, this is insane! Anyone know about the co2 producing yeast?

92.. you need to try and get it down atleast 7 degrees for a great grow but i think you might be ok at 92.. maybe not depends on strain but your going to have to find a way to exhaust that heat...

Exhaust fans are cheap.. just a option

its the northern lights x bid bud strain, i don't know too much about these except its great for indoors and has a lower odor than most

i can't find much about this strain =x i wish google wasnt so full of advertising T-T

You might want to look at getting a mh to hps conversion bulb. For a couple of reasons; the girls will love the hps going into flowering a lot more then the mh and two I attached a link to make a small cool tube. I have made this same tube for my 600 hps and I could touch the bulb after it had been on for a couple hours. p.s. seal the room and have the 4" vent from the cool tube go straight into the room this way you don't lose out on any co2 plus your odors will be more contained

A very easy way to create C02 for a very low cost is to mix baking soda and vinegar. The usual disadvantage is that the reaction is instant so the CO2 is drained out by your exhaust fans --- but you don't have any -- so that may be less of an issue. A better way to sustain C02 output is to create a wick system. Take a red plastic cup that is 12 oz and pour vinegar into it. Create a wick system by poking a small hole at the bottom of a 16 oz cup and placing a few inches of yarn through it. Tie the yarn off inside the 16 oz cup to prevent it from falling through and cover the knot and bottom of 16 cup with baking soda. The yarn will slowly pull vinegar up and into the baking soda producing a sustained amount of CO2. Good luck and I hope this helps!

What time of the day are the lights on? I had to change my lighting times so they were on at night.

Like most renters, I couldn't start drilling holes in the house or doors. I was thinking about buying a second door and cutting that up. When I moved, I would replace it with the old one, but that isn't cost effective for me right now. So, I moved my lighting times to the night when its cooler in my room & closet. I use C02 during flower when the night and my HID doesn't allow the area to get to reasonable temps. I have been using the yeast and sugar method for C02.

Lately my night time temps in my closet have been 85-90. I really need to get better ventilation.

If you cant get proper ventalation try checking out the heat subtractor. It has a built in radiator 6 inch or 8 inch, inlet line and outlet line for cold water to come in and hot water to come out. Seal the grow room door with the reinforced milar, 2 zippers to make a nice big door for access. Make an inlet hole down low and an exaust hole up high have the outlet to the heat subtractor blowing in the hole down low and the intake for the heat subtractor pulling from the hole up high removing any un wanted heat from your grow room (box, closet). Youl also need some kind off a 5 gall jug or bigger for water to feed your heat extractor. Grow on every one. Carlos AKA MODOG187:leaf:

Seriously you need to vent, if you have access to the attic i would vent it there given nobody can get up there. If you are renting i wouldnt worry too much about cutting a hole becasue it can be patched. You can use Co2 but again you room is still going to be hot....
