Nice to see ya Chimin' in DF
Yea, the Air pots are fabulous..
Your right about the Air pot-Dwc race.. pretty damn close.
Im not quite sure if I agree with the lucas formula, when it comes to vegging.
I went through some old photo's of when I was using Fox Farms, and my clones were visibly Larger at the same time frame..
Cloning with Lucas= PERFECT!... vegging, not so good.
Its disappointing to say the least..
The FF plants were way fuller, lush, and developed alot more shoots at this crucial time of vegging... SIGH..
Plus, they already look more "stretched", not compact like before on FF.
Well, since the vegging wasn't up to par, I went back to FF.. Couldnt wait any longer.
Hate to say it, but i did.
Iam now on my second day of Organics..
It sucks, But Ill have to say.. The FF organics wins when it comes to vegging.
Also, I noticed alot of yellowing the first 2 weeks of 12/12 using the lucas formula.
Lucas didnt have quite enough of nitrogen for the "stretch"
But, after the stretch, the green came back and all's well.
I did another lil experiment about a week ago, and swapped out lucas for FF in one of the flowering buckets, and now that plant is the biggest out of the bunch... And it has that "twinkle" look to it, the other ones dont.
Most likely due to the FF's full line of additives.
Lucas might be better for "average Joe" plants... not my Mj trees.
I've been looking into different hydro nutes, and noticed that Peters/Jacks Classic came out with a hydro nute.
Couldn't believe my freakin' eyes!
But, after emailing the manufacturer, and chatting with em on the phone, its more of a hassle than what its worth.
You have to mix this and that together and yada yada.. Fuck that!
So, for the meanwhile, we're back on FF, and things are growing real well.
I really thought Lucas would kick ass all over FF, But I'm wrong.
Maybe Ill try Lucas once again on a shorter regular GS and see what happens.
Im noticing now that the additives are effective.
Getting a bit discouraged, and frustrated, but thats what experiments are all about.
I still know for a fact that Jacks Classic "Dnamic Duo" is still the #1 Soil fert for veg and bloom.
The ladies I have in soil are finally looking the way they should.
Live and learn I guess.
Have a good one buddy!!!
