Clover mites ?!?

New grower here , I found a clover mite that is bright red and crawled fast.... Smashed him and couldn't find any others. I wiped tent with peppermint and scratched a small amount of dte in the top of the soil. Is this a major problem or could it become one?

Yeah they’re a huge problem, all species of spider mite will fuck up weed plants. Ive been using a diy miticide from overgrow that works pretty good so far https://overgrow.com/t/sunrise-sunset-let-s-see-what-y-all-got/71641?page=22.

You’ll want to WIPE THEM OUT before flowering. If you have carpet in your tents room steam clean it, vacuum every corner wash curtains/blinds and filter your air going in the tent.

How bad are clover mites

I found one crawling on the outside of one of my pots these things just look like normal spiders since there so much bigger than normal spider mites you can easily see these by the naked eye I found just one and squished it with my hand and it left a red stain so I no it was definitely a clover...

This works great on everything. You can buy direct from them as well and in different size/prices. For what it does it is cheap, its concentrated so a little goes far. The link is a gallon and spendy,most would never need that much, I got the small bottle for like $25.

Thx to all the responses and I will order that asap shampooed carpets and vacuumed wiped everything down with peppermint and went all throughout the house in every crevice with dte puffer and scratched dte into the soil , I have a feeling it was a straggler but taking no chances!!! These fuckers are the worst....

Another cheap attack on mites is Micronized sulfur. If your in veg still it will do the job, if early in flower, 1/4 strength, if late in flower ,dont use it. It will make your buds taste sulfur like. Also dont use the sulfur for 2 weeks after any oil treatments, it will burn the leaves. Another tip is to get a micro mister,like 20 dollars on amazon. Makes a big difference on delivery and effect of the products.

Perfect have a micro mister already so I will definitely put that in play and I'm still going with y'all's advice but does dte do anything for pest control?

Outside is absolutely crawling with a bazillion little red clover mites, all around the house, every year around here. They like when the concrete & gravel get super hot from the sun, and get really active. Never once had them try to take up residence in the house. Or infest my grow rooms or indoor plants at all. Everytime I sit down outside or walk in they are stuck 2 me for sure. Try to lay in the sun by the back porch and they start crawling on me, but it feels kinda good, lol.

Same here and have been watching all day, I only found that one smashed , Ive looked under the leaves containers tent and nothing to be found so I think I lucked out, but I went hammertime on ipm , shampooed and vacuumed carpets put dte in the vacume, sprayed toxic pesticides on foundation of house , and inside hit every crevice top to bottom with dte puffer and obviously puffed the plants top to bottom and scratched in soil the wiped curtains windows and whole tent in peppermint oil , so I think I'm good thx fucking God lmao

Ps kill those bastards in your free time for safe measure or else you'll eventually have to do what I did!!!! Outside there easy just nuke them with whatever but as far as inside the grow obviously only organic and before flower ya know

Say, can you point me towards a "micro mister?" Trying to look em up now.. do you just mean a garden sprayer?
