CLS butane filling

Hey I was wondering if someone can help me with filling the solvent tank, I don't know how high or how much butane I'm suppose to fill up, is there a math to it? I was told just to fill till about 2 inches away from the lid (solvent tank has union sight glass)?

The solvent tank is 10x10 that's all I know

The fact that your so in the dark about what your doing thus far has me worried that you are going to attempt some sort of extraction using poisonous gas and give the poison you are certainly going to synthesize to people and proclaim it to be "all good" "clean as hell yo"

No offence but you seem like a dick. How do you how much I know? If I'm in the dark couldn't you enlighten me? But let me guess your above that. Not that I'm entitled to or deserve your help.

I asked because the tank I have doesn't say how much pound my tank holds and there is also no marks, but I guess that means I don't know anything.

An LPG tank can only be safely filled about 80%, to allow for thermal expansion. They are usually sized based on water volume.

A 10 X 10 cylindrical tank, holds 785 cubic inches ( 10 X 10 X .7854 X 10), which at .0361 lbs/in3, would hold about 28 lbs of water.

28 lbs X 80% fill =22 lbs of water

22 lbs X the specific gravity of n-Butane, or .601 = 13 lbs of butane

You're welcome! Whose system did you get?

It's a custom passive system from a local hydroponic shop that gets all their parts from BVV pretty much between that and a BHOgart system, don't really have much options out here in Canada.
