Usually between the 3rd and 4th weeks, which allows 4 weeks for the seeds to mature before harvest.

I just planted ten dippy ellsy's hoping for a groovey male to bash my sour d's back doors in lol. Id also like a og male. I might have a blue pit male in veg yet to be sexy time'ed, the one plent i have in mind is hella shtinky with the stem rub, very deisely headbandy. Both my kids will be at school next week so i can spend a lot more time in my gardenn yippy yay mo fo's.

BTW I noticed my fireballs pheno likes to Hermie easiest w any light issue like mentioned... Or if stressed by cold to much. It even kind of ruins the purple if too cold or etc.
But also my pheno is from seeds that were freebies before you guys put it on the menu.
Pineapple Express can act like that too ime. Have a cross of it w a strawberry-banana, it also tends to Hermie near bottom if light stressed. You guys are spot on, since there is ogk in that.


Funny to see I was about to post on a current topic kind of.

Got a gem Blue Pit male that reaks of "DOG". So I used it.

One of the females it's hitting is that Pineapple Express x strawberry-banana, which flowers very fast.
Also hitting the fireballs pheno I mentioned I have. I was thinking about it and I bet I'm not the first to try blue pit x fireballs. If so how did it go?
The ones I have even grow similar to each other.

Other strains I hit with this amazing smelling male blue pit are:

Cold Creek kush
OG#18
My grape ape(not that Barney's bs)
A bubba kush x granddaddy purps.
And also a Blue pit female that's a little spicey and indica but ogk shape buds and apically dominant on each branch once flowered.

Can't wait to try these. Especially the ape and og18 ones

I pollenated right about at that point everyone says ... At least 5-6 weeks before harvest time for each one.

I'm out of smoke due to my volcano giving me trouble working ... So I picked a bit of the PE x SB one as it flowers very fast. The seeds were a bit green on the tips.
About a week later I picked a bud off both the blue pit , and the bubba x GDP.

Was surprised when I just found a seed of the bubba GDP mix that was very nice and mature except the very tip is green again.

I had a damn light leak I found the other day that my cats caused. Grrr.


Did that stun the maturation of the seeds?
Or is it more than likely they just need a bit longer to grow and finish?


The cold creek kush has many that look immature on it, while it's nearly finished for example. Even though that plant didn't get the light leak as much if any.
And the ones on the og18 are hard to tell. I would of geussed it needed the longest time but it's looking good...?! Wtf?!

It makes me afraid to pick any off the CCK... Plus it's got extremely dense buds.

I'll try getting a pic of it tonight once lights are on. It's kind of a freak pheno of it, very indica bud structure and huge tree trunk stem.

EDIT : Damn sry I reposted a lot. Didn't realize I had posted that so recently above.
Took a bit longer than expected and a few plans changed... That cold creek stopped with the mutant curling stuff, but it's certainly a unique pheno I have yet to see.

Also yes Mr West I agree it's more Jake leaning than many pics i saw of DST's blue pits. The female I have is smelling it too, yet the male got very very og like smelling and even stretched a tad like you'd expect more from the dog side.

I am not a great believer in light leaks creating so much problem. However, if you got a solid light supply coming on at the wrong time then yes, reveg can happen, or possibly stress to create herm problems. So if the light leak changed the phtoperiod then you may have had a slow donw in flower production and subsequently seed development due to revegging. But you would normally see the plant throwing out little basil-esque leaves and stretching, ime.

Just my luck, that stinky blue pit plant turned out to be a fully fledged lady. Its much better hoping for males and getting females than the other way round haha.

Hey West. I just found this thread. I absolutely love the HDxSC cross, but I had the same hermie issue. I have thus far cloned out and flowered (2) generations from the original seed mum (actually 2). Both have retained the hermie trait, and both a fucking fire smoke with a great high. I recently crossed with a Deep Psychosis (very Psychosis leaning) to try and keep the desirable traits, but get rid of the hermie. Not ideal, as crossing back to a parent in the cross would have been more ideal. That said. I will let you know how the cross turns out after I stabilize for a few generations. Just wanted to share with you that in my experience, it did not clone out I have included a pic of my HDxSC. Pretty good example of why I am worlong to save her, despite the hermies.

@Cabinet Cropper unfrotunately I have found the same thing in the Hotdog. I am on the 4th run and it still spits out the odd nanner on the lower branches. It's such a nice smoke and plant as well but certainly not ready to be generally released. The hunt goes on for another HD pheno as not manner of cloning is stabilising this girl/thing, lol. But dam what a tasty and nice high.

Anybody here ever get one that smells of rotten mangoes with a violent mothball smell????

2 cuts of fireballs that went well over 10 weeks, they also threw a couple of nanners but then so does absolutely everything i grow except for the cheese when you take it past due. i rarely see pollen come from nanners and all the flowers are usually done growing by then so seeds can't develop anyway

i was wondering how long this strain takes to fully finish and i reckon it doesn't need that long, 8 would probably have done the job but the last two weeks have seen the density really pack on. the number one feels like the buds are made of plastic and i mean that in a good way, no give whatsoever, like a silicone titty.
