So it seems everyone is ending up with different watts, height, etc..... im curious as to what is to high above the canopy? If there is such a thing.

I have two 304s I've been doing pretty good at about 175 watts at 24in.....

Why can't I go to 30" at at 225w and get just as good of results with more light coverage on the canopy? Not saying those are the numbers I need would need to go with , but it gets me to the question

Here 5 strawberry cough plants in 15 gallon fabric pots. They are growing in Clackamas Coot's organic living soil recipe. These are 35 days old from when they popped up from dirt. The top right plant was topped at 4 nodes and I stripped the bottom 3 nodes for an experiment. Now I know not to do that lol, it could've been bushy like the bottom 2. Top left pot has 2 plants in it; left one's new growth has always been yellow from the start and the right one has always been stunted lol. I guess 2 plants in a 15gal pot is no good. Bottom left has never been topped, just tied down to open her up. Bottom right has been topped twice + tied down to open up.

In the middle of a ferocious war with fungus gnats as you can see.

Light: HLG 320 watt kit (three 288 qb boards). 2700k spectrum.
Never messed with the dimmer so IDK how many watts it's pulling.
Is it really pulling 320?

Update on the Purple Cactus, this thing is a fast flowerer and stacking like crazy. It looks like it should be full of nice solid colas. The smell reminds me of juicy fruit and is getting increasingly stronger. The frost is impressive for only 25 days from 12/12 as well.

4x 288's 3000k @160w total, about 17" from the cannopy.

Each board is only putting out 40w?
And how long did you have to veg that thing to get such a full canopy?
What size tent is that?
Awesome work man

Yep, 40w per board. The seed sprouted from it's rockwool cube on 8-15, it was put under 12/12 lighting on 10-28.

It underwent a week or so of slow down durring a move but it's been a green healthy plant from the get go. It has been taking me around 10 weeks from sprout to fill a 3'x3' tent.

My past scrogs look identical, very short plants that fill a 3x3' tent, I try to end up with around 8" of cola above the net and around the net and the net is usually set around 8" above the pot or so.

Yeah I saw your pics in the scroggers thread too, its a great example. What weight did you pull from previous grows in the same set up?

Nice dude. How did you train the bottom branches to grow out so long?

I top very early, I usually want about 6 main branches then I top it, I'll usually top the top two once more. You can see it here in the attached photo. Once it's topped it will send all growth to those main branches instead of making more. As they grow you just move them out farther in the net.

I don't start them under the net though, if you can it is best to start them under the net. The transishion from growing unbound to being smushed down under the net can slow them for a few days.

Looks good but damn 10 weeks is a long time you can harvest in 10 weeks if you had like 4-6 plants
