CMh questions

I have a couple phantom CMh315 relfectors. I'm new and inexperienced st indoor growing so I am curious if a light over the top of the canopy and another angled CMh 315 light about 3' away from the plant and the white wall behind it, would help the plant or Just burm it?

Just keep them straight above your canopy, get some experience before you start trying to get fancy
315s throw a good 3x3 foot print , keep them at least 10” above the canopy.

So 10" not 24"-30" ?
I've been told that 30" is the lowest I should have them. I was also told that as long as I don't feel any heat on my hand when I place my hand near the canopy then it's a good distance... I'm confused...lol I appreciate your thoughts and help my friend. I felt some warmth at the distance of 12" . I'm gonna be uploading pics shortly. I just turned on the light...

I use 315s for vegging and they are great lights , when used in there limits.
10” is the closest you’d want to run them no closer
Then it will depend on how kool your keeping your room for distance to the canopy. Use your arm not hand you sense the temp (it’s more sensitive then your hand) the distance will also depend on plant size . I keep seedlings n clones off to the sides
small plants I keep about 24-30”
When I’m trying to get the node stacking closer I’ll start dropping the light ,

The room is roughly 15 x 17 x 7.5
White Walls and 1 window (covered)
Temperature stays 68°F - 73°F during the 12hr dark cycle and 75°F - 77°F during the light on cycle
RH is usually 50%
