I'm always curious about how other people form their views. Yours is the strangest I've come across. "have networks that cover just the headlines on US politics" and so don't know anything else??? You sound like either a bot or a paid for troll.CNN always distorted news on foreign politics and I would not be surprised if they do the same on internal politics. I have networks that cover just the headlines on US politics so I cannot know what is going on just from that. From the US I get to watch cnn and fox. Not that any of those is not bias but cnn nowadays looks like is against its own elected government and there are sharp views being expressed there all the time. Anyway, this thread is not about my views and opinions only, I think that I have said more than enough on the subject. I just hope that Americans get along again.
Banana Republic apologist. He's probably from some Southeast Asian dictatorship. Probably here with VPN, thus limited access to other programs. Learned English at private international school. Is our free press not to question the authority of our public offices?
Gotcha
I am trying to talk my way to the side of this discussion but since I am still being asked I will try and answer. The networks that reach me are cnn international and fox and local agencies. all those do not talk about your budget deficit, state laws, or oj simpson. they cover major us and worldwide news. Therefore, I do not know enough about US internal politics. They do however cover US elections.I'm always curious about how other people form their views. Yours is the strangest I've come across. If Clinton had won more than just the majority of the vote, would you be in favor of Republicans following her lead instead of opposing her? Or is it just Trump that you are saying I should follow unquestioningly?
Oh I have been to the US and I have seen the level of local tv and it is to be honest surprisingly low. I have access to everything if I wanted, I can even access the pentagon channel if I wanted, just that I don't need channels that do not interest me so they are not on my list of channels that I get from my cable operator. I have a rusting dish receiver setup which I chose to throw aside years back for the reasons of practicality of the local cable supplier, who chooses to gives us the channels that are demanded and your local cnn fox and what else are not on that list. This is why I have chh international and this is why cnn international was made in the first place, for foreign markets who have better things to her about that hollywood stars' marriages and what else...Banana Republic apologist. RIU is my remote viewing still on point?
tell your supervisor that you need better talking points and more english lessons, shrimp dick in st. petersburgIf Clinton had won, I would expect Trump supporters to just accept the result .
Peaceful opposition, not violent opposition is what is going on here. Trump was not elected with even a majority of voters. We have a strange archaic "electoral college" which sometimes defeats popular will and elects minority presidents. Winning the US election doesn't necessarily gain acquiescence, nor did we give Trump the position of dictator. That's not the role of the president, no matter if that's how he's trying to run the country.I am trying to talk my way to the side of this discussion but since I am still being asked I will try and answer. If Clinton had won, I would expect Trump supporters to just accept the result and for a regular opposition. If they were not accepting the results years later, I would be saying that they should just accept Clinton as president.
I'm guessing China
Correction, you were a divided nation, now I got it figured as about 2/3 against Trump and the GOP and they are quite vehemit about it too and will turn out in droves during the midterms. The heart and brains left the GOP and you see them as pundits on TV every evening trying like the rest of us to figure out what these rats are gonna do next. The GOP are gonna spiral downward because they filled their ranks with radicals, lunatics, racist and other assorted assholes. At the same time they drove out the decent people with hearts and brains, they followed the great white hope over a political cliff. Soon the money will leave and go to corrupt the democrats completely too, maybe there will be a new conservative party, a sanier right wing alternative. We are a divided nation, I won't dispute that. Our democracy is messy and always has been.
We'll see. I keep taunting the local Bernouts who love to say that Bernie is "the most popular politician of all time ever" that opinion polls are terrible predictors of election results. It's true that opinion polls predict a blue tsunami. I want that to be true but recall that opinion polls gave Clinton a 65% chance of winning the 2016 election. Yeah, well people forget that 35% chance happens to be true every third try. I'll stick by my guns and say that the only poll that matters is an election poll. Early election polls have been good to Democrats which gives me much more hope than opinion polls do. I just don't think opinion polls are very reliable.Correction, you were a divided nation, now I got it figured as about 2/3 against Trump and the GOP and they are quite vehemit about it too and will turn out in droves during the midterms. One other thing, Trump the antiChrist has removed Jesus from American politics, his family owns a building numbered 666...
Opposition is necessary in a democracy. I just have the impression as if the elections never finished and all they want to do is topple their own government for any price. There is where the term "traitor" is coming from. Saying that your own president is a traitor and claiming big claims that he is bought by Russia is not the ordinary and healthy opposition IMO.Peaceful opposition, not violent opposition is what is going on here. Practically everybody agrees Trump won the election but it appears that the majority aren't approving what he's trying to do. For myself, I'm participating in the opposition of his attempts to clamp down on minorities, his environmental policies, the gifts he's given to the wealthy of the country.
I am shocked that he sold out to Russia in exchange for advantages during the election. To me, what he did was treasonous and he has discredited his right to hold office. We'll see if there is enough evidence to remove him. Regardless of what I want, impeachment and removal from office won't happen because his supporters in Congress won't support that.
To me, he's a traitor who is damaging the institution of our Democracy. Opposing him only makes sense. Peaceful opposition is necessary to stop him from doing worse. We'll see if we can unseat his party in the upcoming elections. We are a divided nation, I won't dispute that. Our democracy is messy and always has been.
Oh, and Putin won if his goal was to sow discord in the US. We know and won't forget. It was a Pyrrhic victory.
Thanks for your opinion. I'm sure America will take that under advisement.Opposition is necessary in a democracy. all the facts and evidence point to the inescapable conclusion that trump is bought and paid for by putin.Opposition is necessary in a democracy. This thread is not about me or where I come from. You are all completely mistaken and the reason why I don't want to specify is because I come from a very small population country where smoking or growing weed is illegal and it would be like you saying in which town you are when it was still illegal. It is also a free country that has very strong oppositions and forming and keeping governments is very delicate over here because of all the political parties and the excessive freedoms that they have. I don't think that any country can handle more parties per capita than what is present here it is the edge to chaos. All this, has caused me to live in a world that is politically in a fast forward mode with respect to yours. That is events happen really fast, we get to have a dozen governments every 20 years or so because of all this. Big events happen constantly and I have seen all types of political events locally and there is where I learned to draw the line between freedom and chaos. This is in fact the point that I am trying to make, is that the language that cnn is pumping into the political speech, like "traitor, idiot..." are all very familiar to me and not peaceful slogans, and in history, big events follow big words. This is where opposition starts to become destructive and can gradually turn into chaos.I'm guessing China
edit: I mean that with all due respect. It's just that Chinese sentiment tends towards supporting those in power over desire for individual freedoms including many of the rights taken for granted in the west. Very much in line with what zem said. Also the cigarette.
I am telling you, I posted one small post that was just my opinion about cnn, and it for some reason caused some users to get annoyed for their own reasons. This Uncle Buck guy, seems to be butt hurt from the last elections, he just won't llet go, calling me names and insults, for no valid reason really. Thanks for your opinion. I'm sure America will take that under advisement.
This is hilarious LMAO.Guys, seriously, I thought the US was more progressive than this. You got your first black president and people couldn't stop complaining and starting movements like the Tea Party to say he was a secret Muslim Kenyan with a fake birth certificate. Now we have our first orange president and you can't stop complaining and calling him a Russian stooge, fake billionaire and reality TV flop who won because of election tampering. Please America, stop criticizing your elected leader and stuff. Dis jess my oppinyin, don't call me ideeit unkelbutch.
