CO2 Enrichment and Optimal Temperature

Hey guys,

Been thru a lot of the past posts and couldn't find anything tackling what I've been going through. I find that with CO2 Enrichment I can let my temps go up to 90 with no heat stress yet others say they have stress at like 85. I'm assuming the issue with other growers is that they are not optimizing other variables such as light and nutrients.

I'm running a soilless growing medium (similar to sunshine mix), so I assume that works in my favor as well whereas there would be more issues with a hydroponic set up but I'm also providing a lot of air movement.

Anyway question I had for other growers is have you had success at these higher temps or did you have to go lower. I'll share some pics so you can see there's no stress from the slightly higher temps and I'm pretty sure it's intermittent in nature as it goes back down to 85 when the burner shuts off.

Everything I've read seems to agree with the idea that CO2 doesn't help at all unless you have a sealed growing environment. When I first started growing I was fighting pretty steady temps in the mid 90s and looked into CO2. Someone explained to me how cannabis can actually handle pretty high temperatures as long as you keep the roots cool and aerated so they suggested I spray the sides of my fabric pots with water and point a fan right at them to use evaproative cooling as an advantage. When I did this, I stuck a probe in my pots to keep track of the soil temp. I was able to keep the root zone in the high 60s, while the air temp in my tent was close to 95, and my plants had no issues getting through the heat spell.

Thanks yes this seems to be my experience as well the CO2 increases metabolism and allows the plant to use more but if I don't use a lot of fans and air movement they actually do worse. Of course I am running a sealed grow room but I was planning on placing an exhaust fan on a thermostat and having it turn on only when temps exceed 90. I may waste a little CO2 this way but I will avoid any undue stress I believe I'll keep y'all posted
