Ive seen people ask questions about this before! its nuts someone actually got it down. obviously it takes some intense equipment.

I wonder how that would compare to a 99% Ethanol extraction. CO2 and Ethanol are similar in that both are natural and not harmful. I would thing the CO2 would have a better yield. Without Chlorophyll. I'd be interested to follow along and learn something. Like Budbro said, I remember something along the lines of this being crazy hard to do. I like my backyard BHO oil lol. The only thing that sounds unpromising about c02 extraction is not being able to do it safely by yourself.

I will make a trip down to AA this week and see what all I can find and the costs. I have been told honey oil may go for 80$ per gram I'll keep you guys posted ...

Sounds a lot like a scam that came thru Cali and Colo. Sub critical CO2 is not cheap to play with.

Honey oil is pretty expensive, but little dumb old me didnt grasp that. I sold it for 25 a gram. Lol. At least I got toked up by all my friends with my own oil.

TM13, please post back what you find about the CO2 extraction. This is very interesting stuff, as I use glycerin now because it's natural and harmless. Iso is also but it removes shit with it. CO2 is really interesting. This guy rigged up a small unit to extract caffeine from green coffee beans. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvmM6qa2a90&feature=iv&annotation_id=annotation_834650 But what a crude rig. For any kind of reproducible, safe, and efficient extraction you're looking at a lot of pipe and valve, controlled heat and pressure, both actively being measured over time. Not cheap to play with as Beans said.

tbh... honey oil prices are usually underpriced much like hash if matched against even a modest ten a gram for bud.so like i said.. or really bud prices are inflated.

Special FX lab sucks. The guy that runs it is a scam artist. They are not doing proper co2 extraction if they are at all. A friend called dude out on their oil sparking and the dude denied it. Told him oh, light it with a hemp wick. Dude did it right in front of his face and shit sparked all over the place. Real co2 extract is very identifiable from what I have been told. It looks like super high quality bho, but more sugary. There isnt anyone in Michigan doing this right yet. It takes A LOT of space and about 100k worth of equipment to do proper supercritical co2 extraction.

Exactly, is that the $12k one that you can only run 1/2 lb of material at once? The large scale production ones are easily 100k. There is a thread on icmag about a crew that invested $1mil into developing one.
