CO2 not good for you...

I read the whole article and it's pretty ambiguous about whether or not it is having a detrimental affect and if those effects are transient or longer lasting.

My plants are hooked so I don't dare cut them off now!

I'll ponder the effects on my health further while I sit and have a smoke. ;)

Yeah just finished reading the rest, looks like they have to many variables to make any kind of conclusion.

any gas is dangerous in high concentrations. oxygen in high enough concentration causes "drunkness" and can cause burning damage to exposed tissue. it takes a while for that to happen, but.... we are "designed" to breath a mix of 78 percent nitrogen, 21 percent oxygen, 1 percent argon, and traces of many other gases....when you change that ratio, or introduce a new gas to the mix, you are going outside of our "recommended operating parameters"......the consequences of going outside those parameters can be barely noticeable, or they can be as severe as convulsions, bleeding from the eyes, and death.....
i don't think co2 will make you bleed from the eyes and drop dead, but it does seem like it can have some adverse effects, which i would like to know more about.

The only way CO2 is going to hurt you is if there is so much that it lowers the O2 percentage. That's why I don't want to have a CO2 tank in my grow downstairs. If there was a serious leak I could walk downstairs into a zero oxygen atmosphere and pass out in seconds. Then I would die from suffocation and not carbon dioxide poisoning. My alcohol lamp provides plenty of CO2 to boost my plants growth.

Wait I can get fucked up sitting in my tent?

LETS GET LIT FAM
hey, i'm just trying to point out a potential problem, because some people.....can't afford to lose ANY of their cognitive abilities, they barely have enough to tie their shoes and wipe their asses as it is....
if you want to just say fuck it and ignore it, that's your choice to make. it might be alarmist bullshit, and it might be a health hazard that most people are unaware of...the next time i stumble across something that could make you stupider than you already are, i won't bother to tell you about it....
i hate wasting my time, and you're busy getting those shoes tied

It’s all good bruh just playing around. You’re right shouldn’t joke just as we shouldn’t joke about UV. If anything in this game is going to kill us it ain’t the green itself

Really? Ever watch Apollo 13? Remember when the CO2 levels got too high it fucked them up. Too much CO2 is bad for sure. I am not afraid of 1200 PPM though, most homes have higher CO2 levels just from occupants.

Their buildup of CO2 was lowering the O2 levels and was likely becoming a large percentage of the air they were breathing. Even 10,000ppm is only 1% and they were many % higher than that.

Even too much water can throw your electrolytes off balance and eventually kill you but I'm not worried about even a couple thou ppm of CO2. CO on the other hand . . . ;)

Hypercapnia happens when the CO2 levels are elevated causing the CO2 to not leave the blood and exit the lungs causing red blood cells to be unable to pickup more oxygen. So it's nothing to do with the oxygen levels, but the red blood cells not being able to give up the CO2 when the CO2 levels are high.
