From what I have read, CO2 increases yield, Hydro maximizes and makes everything more efficient. If you wanna grow a lot and quick, go with hydro. You should do your research. I thought I did but I screwed up realllll bad. I was like two weeks into flowering when I realized that my plants havent been fed lol. My yield was 6g dry.
Before you invest, do some research, read journals. Just because people call us stoners, doesnt mean we are dumb. Know what you are doing because it is really easy to mess up, ESPECIALLY with hydro (not to scare you or anything). If you talk with people on here, the majority will tell you that CO2 is for experienced farmers who want to perfect perfection. Im talking about the people who grow >1g/watt.
For people like you and I, start easy, soil. You wanna step it up, go soil-less (thats where im at), and then start to invest in ebb and flow, areoponics and bubbleponics. I got a big bag of ProMix from my local supplier for cheap, plastic pots, and pH down. I went with 20-20-20 Miracle gro plant food. CFL lights, adaptors and such from homedepot. PPM meter and pH meter from ebay for cheap.
It set me back at a fraction of what you are going to spend on CO2. If my estimates are right, I spent about $150 on a total setup. Do more research before you spend, the worst thing is when you fuck up and say, why did I spend so much money on this. Just my two cents.
