CO2 Pads

Those things are self contained and last for a couple months. There pretty cool. I run co2 but if I didn't, those would be better than nothing and better than fermenting your own as it takes constant upkeep. I saw those at my local hydro.

All you do is pull off the sticker and put it above your plants and it breathes out co2

I've been running them for months, I don't know if they are working or not but my last cycle was pretty dense, even after a spider mite infestation and had to cut early.

I tried sugar + yeast but it's messy and smells bad.

I use CAP burners. With propane tanks. It's the best way to increase PPM to 1500 and I only tried using that fermenting bucket thing once. It doesn't produce much. I never heard of the bags. Do you have a monitor to measure CO2 levels? Even breathing on the plants is good....average CO2 in one exhaled breath is more than 4000PPM. Do it for one hour a day and I bet it would make a measurable effect... Well maybe.

i was going to try the sugar n yeast method but didn't fancy the smell n mess, stealth closet grow & no room for c02 tanks, plus this seemed a whole lot cheaper than tanks & regulators, sometimes we have little choices

Depends on how much CO2 it releases. If it is regulated to release ~1500-1800 ppm, then its worth it. Without regulation I dont beleive it will be effective. Also, use it only when the lights are on.

I tried the smaller pads as I already have co2 tanks in my rooms, they are designed for the propogation domes and I'd say work pretty well, but its for propogation domes.

thanks for the input, any idea how many of those would it take to make a noticible difference in a 2' x 3' x 6' tent

They have different sizes of bags, the bigger bags are meant for bigger spaces. I use 2 in my flower room and swap out the older one about every 2 weeks putting in a fresh new pad and keeping an older one about a week. I try to alternate having a new pad and an older pad running at the same time.

Old thread but i'd like to hear more people who have actual experience with the Green Pads.

I personally am on the fence about these... I have no idea if these will really work but i decided to drop the $30 on a 5 pack to test them out. I usually vent but being that its winter time i can get away with leaving my exhaust fan off and still holding temps in the high 70's. I have a fairly small room (5x5x7) and plan to use one bag at a time while using a cheap Co2 test kit to moniter Co2 levels. I plan to start next week, the 5 pack of pads should last me week 3 through week 8 of flowering.

Huel, can you remember what your findings were? I've just bought these and am in the same situation - winter, can leave exhaust off without temps going above 27c
