CO2 Question

Hey Im new to growing, I have a closet set up with CFLs, 2 plants in soil that are 24 days old and 2 days into flowering. I wanted to introduce a home made CO2 blend. I read about a mix of 1 tbs yeast, 2 tbs sugar in 1L of water.
First of all is setting up CO2 worth the trouble even though my plants seem healthy already and is the mix I explained right?
Thanks:weed:

IMO co2 isn't worth the trouble unless absolutely everything else in the grow room is the best it can be. so no, not worth it under cfl's. and co2 mixtures i think only work if its an airtight room (no exhaust), or else it'll all just get sucked out anyways.

If your still under CFLS, ave up and switch to HPS, and if it'd cause heat problems, then you needed better ventilation than to worry about the co2 anyway :)

what if you are using a 400w switchable ballast, dro systems, and you have a decent room setup. is it worth it? yeasting and bubble water seems like it wouldnt supply enough co2, while it seems like co2 makes the difference for some growers. the co2 controllers and tanks can be expensive and cumbersome. from my research a good co2 system will cost roughly ~$500-$600 with a good co2 regulator (not mentioning refilling the tank).

in my opinion, unless you're air conditioning instead of frequent venting, you're just throwing money down the drain. Everytime you vent your room, the CO2 goes back to normal, and has to be recharged. Unless the temps are perfect without constantly switching the air in the room...CO2 is pointless.

i don't think i'd go so far as to say all co2 is pointless. but homemade co2 is definitely pointless. if you have a tank then it is most definitely worth it (as long as the rest of your room is up to par). the only problem is the startup costs, once you have a tank then refills are usually pretty cheap.

This guy's post is spot onn but i'd like to add some things.

Adding co2 to the grow room helps but only under precise & heavily controled conditions, the ppm (parts per million) need to be within an exact range or its worthless, also light needs to be maximized in order for the plant to use the increased co2,i cant see any amount of cfl's doing the job plus many controls need be in place in the room even if lighting is enough.

These shake n bake co2 devices are not worth the time it takes putting them together.

If your a new grower like you say the best advice i can give you is to stop reading stuff right now,im not shitting you either, most new growers are their plants worst enemy, they read & learn way too many trick & gimmicks to make the plants better, then they apply everything they've learned all at once & fuk the whole grow right up,they read all kinds of crazy stuff like fox farms gogo juice & think they need products like "bud hardener" & end up with a confusing mess.

When your new its best to keep it as simple as possible & that is no lie, proper lighting, proper watering, proper fertilization & this means being very weak handed & using fertilizers very sparingly,do these 3 simple things & you'll harvest sticky fat ass buds in a few months, the more tricks you add to the grow the less your chances of success will be.

This is 100% true. CO2 is worthless to you and don't pay any mind to all the crap about different additives and molasses etc. Don't try to force your plants to grow faster just watch them and only give stuff when they ask for it.
Mostly leave them the hell alone and let them do their thing.
