CO2...worth it or not?

im running 2000k in the flower room 10x10. 80 degrees lights on (with AC) 74 lights out (also ac running a bit). I am finishing in 4 gals of roots organic soil plus fed fox farm. Yield is just not what ive been hoping. 35 to 40 grams....not good. Great strains that had put out better for me in the past have seemed to have fallen off. I dont understand. My main thought is ...should i add co2? Is it worth the investment? is it worth the hassle? Thanks for any response!!

10x10 needs about 3000-5000w of light so your a little ways under i would add 2 600w .

co2 is worth the investment but probably not in your case, either down size the room and use what you have or add more light and ventilation.

the whole shibang for co2 as far as a 10x10 room can get pricey not to mention you will AC in addition.(even if your lights are air cooled)

if you were growing in a very compact area, i would say yes but theres plenty of CO2 in our air already, plus its odorless and itll kill you if it builds up indoors. if you want your plants to get a good amount of CO2 just blow them some hits and hang around your room a bit, id get a treadmill in my room if i could, humans are practically walking CO2 emitters.

If you have a closed system where you dont have an exhaust, then yes. For CO2 to work well when you are creating it yourself, the temperatures have to be at 80-90 degrees farenheit for the stomata to readily use it. And if you dont have an exhaust it wont get sucked out. Be a good idea to have a pricey co2 monitor for if you dont monitor the levels it can do more harm than good. Since I do not have a closed system I just rely on the air intake coming in which is sufficient amount of Co2.

Right on...Thanks guys. It is a closed loop for my lights and i could pretty easily cut off all other sources of ventilation. Not sure yet what to do. The elec bill fro 2000k plus dehumidifier plus AC is at 375 right now and going up. Sure seeems like if i could run 90 instead of 80 the difference in $$ would pay for co2 itself.

I've been looking at a Sentinel system, and at about $900 for the setup, it seems to make sense. But only if your grow is large enough that the 10-20% increase in yield can pay for the system. ymmv

Sorry, you lost me at 2000k ?!?!? You must mean either 2kw or 2000w, and is that over a single 4x8 tray?

35 to 40 grams? from the 2kw? or per plant? How many plants per 4x8 tray? Not just the one, I hope! With 4g. containers... could be 18, no?
