for a tank the best way is EBAY

they will clip you 50- 100 106.00 brand new

much cheaper than your hydro shop or welding outfitter

they usually charge 150.00 or more for a tank.

the regulator timer hoses and such are also extra

i dont use the calculator. i read the plants in a 10x10 i find

15 on 15 off during the light cycle @ 3.5 scfm is more than enough. however you will obliterate a tank on 7 days at this agressive mix.

buy the cheapest 20lb tank you can on ebay, i got mine from beveragefactory for less than 100 shipped. I use this co2 reg and it works...

CO2 System w/ Timer

You'll need a digi timer though because the minimum increment on the mechanical one is 15 mins which is ALOT of gas even at <1 cfh. Mine is only on for like 3 minutes every 4 hours for a 64 cf area. Sure its extra money but it will pay for itself if you use it once on ONE plant, there's also a resale factor...

my co2 cycles are affected by my fan cycles. How much air do you exhaust from your room? How frequent? I leave my flowmeter at .1 cfm hooked up to a control monitor. 42 ft cubed. co2 controllers cost money, but will save you money in the long run.

try leaving your tank on for 20 minutes. leave your room completely sealed for 3 hours, followed by a fan cycle.refill again for 20 minutes. all this is assuming you are able to cool your bulb down, without venting co2 from the room.

i have static enviroments that have air cooled lights. i dont exchange air from the rooms. i usually have many many plants in a small room depending on how much light and plants you have you canconsume the volume very quickly. and 20 monute cycles dont work on my timers. i accept the cost of the tanks and own a assload of them. as a result i probably waste alot. and this is fine. better more than less :) IMO

do you find that its benificial to raise the temp. in your room filled with high co2 levels or do you keep your room the typical 78-80 degrees . I hear plants prefer taking on more heat with a large ammount of co2 made available for the plants. Do you find that increased co2 levels eliminate heat stress to a plant?

i dont worry about temps much

no colder than 55 ever no warmer than 90

more heat more lanky . as the seasons shift temp control is hard. i love the winter yet growth can get a bit sluggish

people tend to get so finiky about this kinda stuff. i am not saying do some off the wall stuff but a few years ago no one ever considered cloning. now look at it.

thanks for all of the info so far i had one more question as you know my grow room is 4x4x7 feet and i have one fan hooked up to ducting which is hooked up to my 1000w light and i have one house fan blowing in my room and i have one more fan sucking out the air and i have 4 small vents that are open i also have 8 plants do you think that i need co2 or will i be fine with all the fresh air coming in.

start small and simple. if you can afford it get is asap. your plants will survive without it. they will just blow up a bit faster lit this

sounds like you don't *need* the co2, but if you dont have it you'll wish you did. It can shave 2 weeks off from seed to harvest and makes your plants more screwup resistant. I've noticed it takes a lot of the worry work out because it acts as a good buffer against temp swings or lack of circulation. Take this for what it's worth... didly
