Is there any hazards using co2? I have my grow in my basement and I want to add CO2 but I dont want to breath anything that can harm me or anyone else in my house.
You don't need to buy a tank.
Depending on the size of your grow. I have a tent that I supplement CO2 in. I used 3, 1 gallon bottles. 2 filled with water, yeast and sugar, the 3rd pure water, the filter, to the tent.
A little aquarium silicon and some patience and you'll be supplementing CO2 in no time. Lasts a few weeks.

I used 2 cups of sugar and 1 teaspoon of yeast per container. What ratio of yeast to sugar? do you use a pump at all and what does your ppm top out at with this method?
doesnt the air have a ppm reading just like your water?I used 2 cups of sugar and 1 teaspoon of yeast per container.
You don't need to use a pump. If you have an airtight seal the pressure from the first reactor will push the co2 into the next reactor which, if sealed properly will push the air again to the final water filter which, if sealed properly will route the air to the tent via a tube. This is for supplementing the air, not the water or roots. Roots need oxygen, not co2 so PPM isn't affected.
