COB LED for veg?

Hey @Safehaven ,

Cutter use's Pairui brand drivers. They have the same aluminum housing, same 5 year warranty, MUCH more options of current on their 250 model (240MW equivalent), & have a "D"(dimmable version) that works identically to Meanwell. I'll be buying them and using them. Mainly because Jerry at King Brite won't have hlg-240''s till end of February. And potentiometer wiring is simple. Blue (purple on Pairui)Left post, White(green on Pairui) Center post. PAIRUI has a third Yellow wire I and Rahz cant seem to figure out the use for. But just my 2 cents. ;)

So you're doing how many 3590's per what length and profile of heatsink?
I decided in order to get the optimum coverage, I will mount each COB on its own 5.886" x 10" heatsink. I will then connect the properly spaced 10" heatsinks together with aluminum angle iron. For veg, I will space the COBs 24" on center, 4 in a row, 2 total rows.

24" on center? See mine will be 3-5.886"x30" heatsinks, 3 cobs each. 9 total. On angle bar, like yourself, spaced 5.886"(6")-9"-5.886"(6")-9"-5.886"(6") totalling 36". So it'll be 30"x36" when completed. Can you explain it more like that I don't get it.
Which profile?

When wiring up your potentiometer to the driver make sure you use another resistor inline so you don't dim the driver to far (down to zero) as many have warned it may damage the driver. You can run them without the extra resistor, just don't turn them all the way down.

The B model can't be dimmed to zero so there's no danger of damaging the driver with a pot, but a few extra K ohms on top of that 100 is a good idea to insure the pot doesn't prevent reaching 100% brightness while on. A switch could be added in the series to turn the pot off but a 10K ohm resistor is cheaper/easier to incorporate.

Attached is my layout and a detail of a single, 4 COB fixture.

I received my potentiometers today. I am unsure as to how to wire them. Google has not been all that helpful. There are three pins on the pot. The two wires from the driver go to which two leads on the pot?
