COB LED QUESTIONS

I have always ran magnetic ballasts etc. I actually enjoy watching plants grow! So ive seen these newer cob l.e.d's and they seem neat does anyone here have experiance with them that they can share here so those of us with limited understanding can learn more?

Mars II 900W LED Grow Lights,2015 Duty Free 11 Band Full Spectrum 5W Chips LED Grow Lights For Hydroponics Grow/Bloom( Stock in USA,UK,AU ) they are asking 300.00 for this light. I'd like some feedback please.

So where's the COBs exactly?

The efficiency of CFL or less, but twice the cost or more......they will grow and they will rip your heart out at the same time....

You want intensity over spectrum, anyday....see HPS

Cobs..

You can look through a few threads I started in my profile. 90w build microcab..200w build..400/450w build. Theres lots of examples and info in the led sub forum

Wouldn't waste time with much else led related. There are a few cob companies up and running, but I generally recommend starting with a small diy build of your own. Once you build a few it can be a really fast process.

There should be a good choice of prefab units very soon. I'd let a few more enter the market so you can have a good selection.

The mars 2 thing you posted isn't a cob bit at all and you should save your money.

Makeing your own using a led cob heatsink fan and driver... Way better in everyway. Go read the led forum here for a few days
