Coco and overwatering

I mean how have you diagnosed root aphids? Are you sure they was not only harmless springtails? Coz if you have “nasty” infestation of root aphids, your plants woudnt look only magnesium deficient but most likely like shit root rotten plants…

Yea the plants looked like shit... they were on their first set of leaves so they didn't even need nuted yet and already those first set of leaves were wilting and browning. I can see thousands of teeny tiny little white guys with what appears to be wings... I've tried to research what bug this is but they are so small it's hard to get a good idea. They stay right beneath soil

Just applied captain jacks dead bug and left in medium for 8 hours and then flushed with nut solution... hopefully this helps

In the beginning, I successfully "drowned" several starter plants in "fines".

I do not use their coco, because I have not found it locally.

I know this is an older thread, but these plants are clearly nutrient DEFICIENT. 100%. If you would have upped your EC to around 1.2-1.3 they would have gotten vigorous, really really fast. It's a learning experience, but you'll learn.

Lol i've read that plenty of times, and it seems that you neglected to mention that he, too, mentions that "until the a good root zone or ball is established, fertigation or watering should be limited especially in the seedling stage".
Fact, you definitely can overwater in coco (as stated earlier). Another fact, you can also let coco go dry without ill effect. I do it all the time.

Even in full flower my coir gets no more than 1.4 ec max and I never feed more than once a day, pot size to plant size will always determine feeding schedule

11ltr pot?
1.5-2.5ltrs of feed a day once in 11ltrs depending on plant size?

Thats what i do with mine....

9 ltr pots, fed 2ltr's once a day, to run-off once a week

Mine at the minute, gona set up multi feeds for next run

That's quite a bit for a 9ltr pot and a plant that stage to not get run off, how much do you feed to get run off once a week?

I was also curious as to i give ny 11ltr lots 2ltrs eqch every morning at lights on and there is quite a bit run off
