Or just get a a couple medium or one large plastic storage container, cut the sides down, and use a heat gun to form channels on the bottom. The under bed storage totes would probably work as is. I've used them back in the day doing coco.

You can even heat up the area down on the end where the drain bulkhead goes, after you install in, and form a little bilge like area, just like flood trays have. You literally just heat up the are, and start warping or forming it. I'll sometimes use clamps and blocks to get perfect shapes on things.

Heat guns are so handy, and I use them to bend pipes and thermoform plastic containers all the time. I forgot how many different uses i've found.

So what's the plan?

Recirculating?

Currently I use tomato trays on a slight angle with holes on one end . Can be drain to waste or Recirculating. So usually 4 plants one end of 4x8 and 4 other end, two trays per half unless I fuck up and have to up plant count , in which case I can fit 3 trays a side.
Any garden centre has those trays , plus trays 80cm x 80cm are pretty common.

So depends on the system you want .

Dtw. My plan was to run the drain line right to my floor drain. Because I'm very limited for height, I really don't have much to play with otherwise I'd do like bk78's setup which looks nice neat and clean. I'll have 9 plants in the 3x3 (short veg) so the footprint of the pots is basically 3x3. Hence the 3x3 flood tray idea

Ya I bought it. Saves me the drive time and gas. Cost more, but I actually saved money this way.(damn v8's) Grabbed some bulkhead fittings for the drain and an elbow. My timer came in today too just have to go pick it up.

Appreciate the ideas. Im spread so thin, I feel like a Rizla. Trying to avoid diy. Just don't have the time. And I'm certainly not cutting out fishing time. Ha. I'll snap a shot in a few just having a soak, coffee and dab. Refreshed for the rest of the day.

Lol. 2 gal pots very short veg. Cut them back let them grow a week and flip. Lots of pruning, and shaping. I hate veg. Costs too much. Time and money. (And time IS money). I'd rather run more plants, and veg less time. My lisc is for 30plants, so I might as well take advantage of that.
I try to pump out 3 runs each in 2 tents. Then I have enough to make concentrate, and keep the best for smoke and gift some away to some less fortunate friends.

i can do 6 technically but i think 5 was the most i ever tried.

my last grow was only 2 but in 4 gal pots and it filled the whole room. i've been trying to cut down on veg time too. it does seem like a waste.

Because I'm so limited on height in the basement, it's not worth it for me to try and veg long. There's benefits to a longer veg, but I can't really take advantage of those benefits because I'm lacking head room space. I'm just looking to get about 1.5-2oz per plant. 9plants ... About a pound. Lol. It doesn't HAVE to make that it's just a number I shoot for. I can have those 9 ready much sooner than trying to long veg others. I'll save weeks this way, over 2 grows add up those weeks and there's still time for another run

It's all about room. I dont really care how many plants there are or what each one yeilds per say, I just want a nice full canopy. I think I can achieve this faster with more plants, and less veg time vs growing larger plants.

yeah man i'm the same way. i've got a bunch of containers full of ganja and if one harvest is lacking, the next one makes up for it.

post up some pics of your dtw setup when you get her done

Def,. Will do.
Alot of this is because I'm going to Vegas and I need to automate watering for a week.
