Coco grow what PPM

I have just purchased a PPM meter and wanted to know what PPM I should be using? my plants are 16 days old and I'm using canna coco with 10% perlite canna a+b 1/4 strength.
My tap water is PH 7.5 reading 199PPM.
I've been feeding them PH 5.8 tap water with weak nutes, rhizotonic and every 3rd feed 1ml of calmag.

I've been told PPM 300 for how young they are does that sound about right?

I had a buddy that went off to grow for some guys in Oregon that said they swore by dina gro foliage pro/mag pro/protekt at 350 ppm all the way through in promix. Everything you read from people says to gradually increase every week until you're close to or over 1000ppm. In the end you just have to understand and read your plants to know if they want more or less. And understand your medium, some like more of one thing than others (coco usually likes more calcium than other mediums), and if you're in something like ffof you'll just be supplemental feeding at extremely low ppms.

What I like to do in coco is start low. I use DG foliage pro 9-3-6 (or DG grow 7-9-5), DG protekt (potassium silicate), and any kind of liquid cal-mag. I usually start with 1/4 tsp/gal of each in DI or RO water, when I used tap water I didn't use cal-mag, just occasional Epsom salt. Then watch them over the next several days. See any yellowing? Any tip burn? Adjust accordingly. Keep increasing the dose of your primary nutrient (not the silicate as it will require you to use pH down which I try to avoid) and the cal-mag until you see tip burn, then skip the next feeding and just give it straight water. Then dial it back to the point right before the tip burn. From my experience, this new found nutrient concentration should keep the plant happy all the way till harvest (being sure to give it straight water between feedings to remove buildup).

I'm sure that plenty of people out there have better equipment and more experience that me. But once I finally ditched the idea that I should be at "X PPMs" by a given week I began seeing the results I was looking for, and with a lot less effort. Just watch you're plants, how much they grow each day (which is easy to do with t5's), and how they look. Every plant is different, even 2 seeds of the same strain, and one thing usually won't work for the whole population.
