Any suggestions going from soil to cocoa? a friend gave me a bunch of stuff and now ill have to re-pot into canna cocoa from Schultz pre fert potting soil
You should start with some research...Any suggestions going from soil to cocoa? a friend gave me a bunch of stuff and now ill have to re-pot into canna cocoa from Schultz pre fert potting soil
You don't want to do that. There will be a massive water pressure differential between the two mediums, you want to keep that balanced or the roots won't grow in properly.Any suggestions going from soil to cocoa? a friend gave me a bunch of stuff and now ill have to re-pot into canna cocoa from Schultz pre fert potting soil
I would just leave it in soil until your done and do a coco grow from new. Save your coco for some new plants.Any suggestions going from soil to cocoa? a friend gave me a bunch of stuff and now ill have to re-pot into canna cocoa from Schultz pre fert potting soil

Just rinse the roots thoroughly afer pulling them outta the soil.....should be no problem.....I have taken plants from soil and put them into straight rock/hydro with no problems....PeaceYou don't want to do that. Problem is the Shultz is killing my plants and im sure my inexperience is too. heres some shots. I think its nute burn, nute lock or ph problems. i had CFL heat issues but now im using A MH lightI would just leave it in soil until your done and do a coco grow from new. so i can rinse all the dirt off the roots and place them right into the coco medium? i haven't transplanted yet cause im concerned with giving it the A+B nutes with out more than a gallon jug. not sure how to mix such a small amout at a time. how often to water etc. the guy who gave me the stuff is on a auto system so he could really help me with this one lol. unless i continue in soil and get clones for the coco? hmmm wat to do.Just rinse the roots thoroughly afer pulling them outta the soil.....should be no problem.....I have taken plants from soil and put them into straight rock/hydro with no problems....Peace
No....Take them out of that soil ASAP....That stuff is no good.....You can go to Rite Aid and get a measuring eye dropper that they use for baby medicine to measure small amounts like 1 ml...Rinse the coco before you transplant....Once you transplant ph some water and just add Roots Excel....Drench them really well and then again in a couple of days...do this for about 3 waterings and then, from there, use very light nutes....like 1 ml a gal. of A&B....slowly bump them up every other watering until you get to about half the strength of what they suggest....Then hit me up again and depending on how they look....I can guide you through the next step......Peaceso i can rinse all the dirt off the roots and place them right into the coco medium? i haven't transplanted yet cause im concerned with giving it the A+B nutes with out more than a gallon jug. not sure how to mix such a small amout at a time. how often to water etc. the guy who gave me the stuff is on a auto system so he could really help me with this one lol. unless i continue in soil and get clones for the coco? hmmm wat to do.
Thanks a lot man. Im goin to do that right away. I do believe Im going to have to choose 4 to repot cause all I was given was four pots. Dont know the sex yet unless I put 2 in each pot till I find the males and cut the root ball out without "hopefully" destroying the other. Basically I have 8 really good bag seed plants in hopes I get 4 females.No....Take them out of that soil ASAP....That stuff is no good.....You can go to Rite Aid and get a measuring eye dropper that they use for baby medicine to measure small amounts like 1 ml...Rinse the coco before you transplant....Once you transplant ph some water and just add Roots Excel....Drench them really well and then again in a couple of days...do this for about 3 waterings and then, from there, use very light nutes....like 1 ml a gal. of A&B....slowly bump them up every other watering until you get to about half the strength of what they suggest....Then hit me up again and depending on how they look....I can guide you through the next step......Peace
