Coco's auto experience.

I do CFL ocasionally and suggest bringing those bulbs closer to older plants ( you will reduce stretch and lanky plant )

Use 5000k or 6400 k spectrum instead of warm 2700k. More Blue spectrum will allow early veg to grow faster and fuller. Or run a 50/50 mix of bulbs.

I run a 12 bulb CFL HOOD ( 16 bulb max ) rig with 50/50 mix and supplemental UVB bulbs in clamp reflectors and have liked how well these work ... But you must keep them close .

Just a quick update.... All autos are transplanted and are going to be moved under the hid bulbs. I had some leaf miners do some damage to my crops but I think I have it under control now. Everything is looking healthy again and happy. First pic is C99 auto second pic is white widow auto and the third pic is the jack herer x critical followed by a few pics of the other plants in the room

I've got 4 autos going now. My first two (Amnesia XXL and Northern Hog) got stunted early on and took 2+ weeks to recover. The next two (another Amnesia and Blackberry Kush) were planted a month later and have surpassed both in height. The later were also grown in FFOF soil whereas the first two were in coco/perlite. Soil seems to be the best way to go to me.

Well I was mistaken, the C99 was not a auto. So it will just be Jack herer x criticaland white widow. But here's some pics.

Another update pic. Lights out. My white widow seems to be doing well land my one jack herer x critical is doing well. The other jack herer x send to be pretty far behind. I'm thinking the transplant really stunted it.

Autos are very fickle, any setbacks will cost, transplant now before tap root hits the bottom of pot , dont top , A 7-1 light program works well , LST = WIN.........dont over fert, & if the breeder says 70 days , look at 80 days , do not defoliate, airpots or smart pots = win..........good luck but dont expect a pound
Most i ever pulled was from a "think different" auto, I pulled 10.8 ounces dry from one plant. Very potent euphoric high.

To above , well done , thats a great yield from an Auto , there is some skill involved in that
Do you disagree with any of my remarks ??

Nope, especially about the transplant..always start and finish autos in the same pot. I even do this with photos when starting from seed. Why start a seed in a different pot unless you are running a hydro system? When it comes to almost all autos the yield i have found to be a little lower than photos, like you said, "Dont expect a pound". However that think different was something special, i have never seen anything like it. That is the only exception i have seen so far and it was my biggest yield ever and it was from an auto.:bigjoint:

Here is a pic from tonight.
Keep us updated on the grow betterthnbutter, let us know what you think of autos. Personally prefer them over photos, they are so easy and fast.
To be honest I haven't got to enjoy this auto grow much. Between trying to get the outdoor crop ready and a few projects around the house I haven't been able really pay attention to the process. I think to give Auto's a fair chance I need to order some seeds and do it right. No transplant, some LST, and actually watch it do it's thing. Don't get me wrong, two of the three I am really excited about the progress. It's just I think I can do better. One thing for sure Mmmmm does this white widow smell amazing.
