coldest temp it will grow

What is the coldest temp that a outdoor plant can stand and thrive in. Please reply.

id say 50. or 40 any lower than that wouldnt be good, but its the frost (>32) that kills them

so if u grow in a not heated room (but indoors) during the winter it should be okay? im sure the temp of the lights would keep it warm enough

that could work but they would get mighty cold when those lights arent on

They are not under lights they are outside. It is a steath grow, they are growing in my 27' pontoon boat, nobody ever gets in my boat except me when I go fishing. If they just went outside yeaterday will they start the flowering process right off the bat or what.

50* will kill your plants and lead to nute lockout.
temps and environment are one of the most important things you have to maintain for growing herb.

I was asking this because I just put my plants outdoor and I was wondering if they will flower before they die. Luda posted in my thread about when they will flower, please more people give me your input.

yeah anything over frezzing temp you dont want ice on them

im gonna have that problem during winter with the cold when the lights go off but i bought a temp controlled heater for that lil problem cuz the room i have my plants in gets freezing due to it being an add on...

I would think that the strain would affect temperature tolerance. Since sativas originated from warm climates near the equator and indicas are more from mountains and more northern areas--I would think an indica would be better suited to a colder climate. Just my 2 cents.
