Probably got the spelling wrong but has anyone used colloidal silver as a res inoculate? Just tossing it out as I read an article in maximum yield about it.

it's antibacterial so it won't inoculate anything but it will kill bacteria in the res.

Use a couple drops of bleach. It seems like a dumb idea but it works, and no adverse effects.

I read about it in this months Maximum Yield magazine (not online) and ya I kind of thought that as well re price but I've never made it so not sure if it is expensive to make. I was just curious if anyone uses it. Just tweaked my interest so I thought I'd ask.

Why thank you Vostok lol. wasn't saying I wanted to use it, just curious if anyone does or has to sterilize the res., I believe it's used to purify water in some applications as well.

I have used bleach but the issue with that is it's always a concern for me if I've added enough, to much, or if it's still in the res doing an effective job. But yup I have used it. I actually have 5 gallons of 35% H2O2 sitting in the lab as well but that stuff is getting hard to find here. Just curious about the silver.

I was going to make some to femanize some auto plants this summer so I may give it a try in the res. If I turn silver or die then I owe you an apology lol.

If you do it make sure that the silver rods are always kept clean because they will turn black if you don't. You can tell if it is working by shining a laser light through the jar you can't see it with the necked eye if you can it's the stuff that will turn you blue, there's no way to tell the ppm without special equipment. So can u not just figure it out mathematically? I haven't even looked really into it yet but I do have a shit load of silver .50 cent pieces 
. I also think there is a difference in particle size and AC versus DC effects that? I like to tinker so probably do it myself .

you need as close to pure silver as you can get otherwise you will end up with the other metals in your solution and some of those can be toxic. you have to have wire of the correct gauge and exact volts, I think it's 9 dc, or it won't work.So can u not just figure it out mathematically? Ya I'm going to do a bit of reading, supposedly my coins are pure silver from 1955 but I'll look into as well. Lots of controls, power supplies, and shit lying around as that's what I do in the refrigeration trade
