Collecting Pollen/Forcing a feminized plant to throw male pollen (Auto Flowering)

Hi, I'm on my way to getting some pollen from a feminized autoflowering plant. I've already started two and I was just wondering if anyone around these parts has experience doing this?

I started two beans and now they've reached the surface in my soil and I was just wondering what are some traits I should look for when choosing which one to spray with colloidal silver?

Also, when would be a good time to start spraying with CS? As soon as I see preflowers is when I plan to start spraying unless someone has some better advice for me. I've been growing for a while now and I've setup a T5 solely for auto flowers.

What I plan to do is to force one of the two auto flowers to herm by spraying with CS, collect the pollen and use it to pollenate 3 different strains so I will have a supply of beans for a while without having to make orders overseas.

What would be the best way to collect the pollen and how long will the pollen be viable if frozen or refrigerated??

Thanks for taking the time to read my little patch, any advice would be nice.

Most autos are not stable strains, they are often a F1 hybrid of the strain that you want crossed with Lowryder #2 pollen (lowryder #2 is a stable ruderellis strain)

Making fems from an auto will most likely give you very different phenotypes, some being pure ruderellis and others being the main strain with others being a mix.

You should collect Lowryder #2 female pollen and cross it with whatever strains you like to make autos of.

It takes a good 5 or 6 weeks for pollen to be collected using colloidal silver to turn a female.

Matthew, the plants I plan to pollinate are also autoflowering strains. I guess I could weed out the the pure ruderallis as needed? Thanks for the reply, you have me a little concerned here.... So if some come out "pure ruderellis" as you say they won't produce very high levels of THC?

Thanks.
