I WOULD NOT try to grow in the dorms... that is one thing.

Every RA has very easy access to the master key, if Your RA or any RA in your building suspect you're growing... campus security (DPS) can open your room.. your closet... in a heartbeat.

And during breaks (fall, winter, spring) RAs usually do roomchecks...

IMO college is a great thing. After high school, I didn't want anything to do with college. I was sick of that shit. But I went anyways and failed because i just didn't want to do it. So I left and got a full time job that paid great and benefits, etc. After a year of working, I finally realized how awesome school really was. I began again last fall and am working towards a bachelors in something (undecided right now).

My advice is, it's definitely worth it. You have the rest of your life after school to work a boring ass 9-5 job with monotony at every corner doing the same damn thing every day.

Oh and growing in a frat house would work if you could trust all your frat mates or could somehow hide it from all of them (good luck with that). Not to mention, frats are generally partying 3 nights out of every week (at least in mine XD).... someone is bound to find your room.

Also probably a bad idea, you would have a lot of people in one house who wouldn't all agree to it, and the house probably getting attention from the police for other stuff anyway. Maybe if you make a couple friends freshman year and move off campus with them you could do something small and stealthy but no dorms or frat houses is almost always the case.

And undergrad is important, maybe less for some people but it depends on who you want to be. Either way, to get good grades in most disciplines at most good schools you will pretty much have to learn things and create your own, not just be able to regurgitate stuff..although there's no denying that brown nosing or catering your work to the specific professor works a lot of the time. In my experience the majority of professors are aware of those problems with teaching and try to correct them, although it doesn't always work.
Anyway mainly have fun and figure yourself out that's basically what undergrad is for.

Oh and the 2 years at community college isn't a bad idea either, especially if you don't have a lot of money or got only decent grades in highschool and have loftier goals for college, because a lot of really good state schools will basically, if not literally, automatically let you in if you have a 3.5 gpa after two years of community college. The only problem is you might have to take an extra semester or so overall if some of your community college courses don't transfer to the university.

At our uni RAs had access to most frathouses as well... Some states have specific laws regarding so many men or women in the same house... This making them "on campus" and thus under campus/ra authority

But that's just some states

I elieve regarding sorrority houses, too many girls in one house is techncally a brothel

nah - i went to a "smart" school... for computer science for a few years, but dropped out...

i hope to hire my own college grads pretty soon... this year or the next

college wasnt for me - i HATE learning for no reason, and i HATE paying people to teach me shit (especially shit i dont even care about)... and i mostly dislike people... i've only met one person that was in a frat that i actually liked.

i was a computer geek before i went to college, they didnt teach me shit(maybe a couple new languages)...

but if i need to know something, i LOVE to learn about it... i have computers down, i got growin down, and i'm an amateur at real estate transactions ;-)

i had to learn how to use PLCs to control a large industrial device for work - i went from 0 to knowing how to do the most complex shit with them about a week after i first got to hold one... and now there's one in my grow room! (replaces 8 timers and does SO much more!)

i'm not dumb - i'm gonna get college grads to work for me, cuz i know they are suckers!! ;-) and if they are fresh, they are used to living on low cash and eating mac and cheese... they are the new mexican

I tried going to a 2 year school before I went to college, but that was a terrible mistake. If you are expecting college to be the breeding ground of higher intellect, ideas, maturity, etc. or you just want to improve intellectually, do not even consider a 2 year school. I could only bare a semester of it.

and you said your brother went to an ivy league school? man...Pick a cheap school, ivy league schools aren't entirely worth it for your first four years. consider that while your earning your graduate. there are a lot of schools with the academics of ivy league schools at low costs. and research your schools. read reviews, check ratings and everything. I love college <3

Also... Depending on your major, your profs can be pretty awesome. In political science my prof would always get on tangents about music... Drugs... I've smoked and drank with him.

Actuall I've gone drinking with a lot of profs, one in perticular always paid... Even came into class, and just took us to the bar down the street and bight the whole class a round.
