The only silver bullet to kill spider mites and larvae in 1 application i've encountered was FloraMite. Kind of expensive tho. 1/2 fl oz (enough to mix 6-12 gallons of spray) is about 30$ on ebay. Qt makes 400-800 gallon of spray and is 300$.

OK, Transplants will have to wait till tommorow. I just sprayed the Rapid Rooter dome with one of the Neem Oil Suffocants just in case. Went back to check the lady bugs that I have in there to see if they're alive. Didn't see any so I lifted the tray expecting to see dead Lady Bugs but all I was was Roots. And one has a root at least a couple of inches long, and I just planted that one a week ago.

At the risk of repeating myself, Mycorrhiza is the BOMB!!!!! I'll try to take a pic of this root, I still can't beleive it. And it will work in plugs as long as you put some in the hold before putting your plant in there. For some reason it wont work when you disolve it the water you use to water the clones.

Looks like I'll be spending the rest of the night transplanting out of the tray & into dirt. Which reminds me, don't treat with Mycorrhiza if you're planning on using them, or selling to someone who is going to use them in a Hydro set up. They're micro organisms that will clog Hydro feed & drain lines.

But if you grow in soil and you haven't bought anything with Mycorrhiza in it yet, you are costing yourself yeild every day you wait.

Be back with a pic in a minute.

I've heard good things about Flora-Mite, but if it uses a pesticide the rules still apply. They will become immune and might become immune in as little as 1 treatment. Just do a web search on Mites and you will see what I'm saying is true.

I heard that it also kills the eggs, so I'm assuming it is a pesticide of some kind. I can't verify if it kills the eggs though since I never used it. But if you treat with Flora-Mite one time, unless everything I've read is complete BS, you're likely to get a re-infestation. But if you use Flora-Mite, then something different 7 days later, and then a 3rd treatment 7 days after that. They you have good odds on being rid of them.

Howdy Mile High Growers.

I've got a good money saving tip for you. If you have problems with Colorado's low humidity, check out the local thrift stores. I've purchased, top shape, digital humidifiers for $2.00 at the Thrift Store on South Broadway. $50 less than the same model sells for at Walmart.

With my old house and old school furnace; my humidity is super low. I have two humidifiers running in my veg room.
One time back at CU (Boulder), a dude pissed in my humidifiers after he caught me bangin his girl. The chick and I got so stoned we didn't even realize we were breathing piss-mist. lol

This past summer I ran across those 2 digital humidifiers in a box in my garage. Not sure why I kept them. Anyway, I rinsed them out a little and dropped them off at this thift store on S Broadway.

It works in 1 shot. If you get all the adults and eggs, soak well, the 1st time there is no need to re-apply. Mites only grow tolerances if they live thru it. I've used it myself on 3 different patient grows and have not seen a mite since in any of those locations. It is kind of a nuclear option tho given the price. If you want to reappy things or use something as a preventative measure Neem works well in combination with a pyrith spray. I used fox farms "Don't Bug Me" pyrith spray, works good on thrips.

Remind me to boil anything I get at a thrift store. lol

If that's true, then what happens if some guy uses it and misses some eggs or only gets a few adults enough to build a resistance and not enough to kill them. Then he gets infested and a few take off for greener pastures and end up on your plant already with the immunity? You know stuff like that happens all the time. If I can get white mites in a state that averages 15% to 20% humidity, anything is possible. lol

I can't use insecticides or I'll be cleaning up 3,000 dead lady bugs. So I'm using suffocators instead. 3 treatments is all it should take if I do a good job, but like I said before, with mites anything is possible. I'll know in 2 weeks how well suffocators work to eliminate them.

The reason I like the idea of suffocators better is because they can't become immune to it (I hope. lol). But they can become immune to any insecticide. And they can carry immunities when they show up on your plants.

By the way, suffocators are safe for lady bugs. None died in the humidity dome.

Ok, first to get everyone up to speed. I bought & loaded a Rapid Rooter about 3 weeks ago and per the instructions I filled the bottom tray with a little water, and I added some Mycorrhiza hoping it would help them root.

Last Wednesday someone who's used Rapid Rooter before said to ignore the instructions, the standing water will become stagnant and keep the clippings from rooting.

I dumped the bottom tray & rinsed it out real good. Then I "flushed" the plugs with a gallone of pH'd water and replaced 8 or 9 clippings that were too far gone (rotting). For those 8 or 9 I gave the plugs a much better flushing, then I put Mycorrhiza right into the plug hole, and I of course used Rooting Hormone too. For those that doubt the date (and some will when you look at the pics)....... https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-plant-problems/286522-have-flush-have-few-questions-4.html

6 of those 8 or 9 already have roots, and 2 of the NY Diesels are just unbelievable, check it out.

None of the old clippings rooted yet, and if they don't by this time next week I'll be pullin them too to put new clippings in there.

The Mycorrhiza that I use has 7 spores per gram and very low nutes so I don't have to change any feeding schedule to use it. When I run out I'm going to see if I can find something with more than 7 spores per gram.

Anyway, I got a boner when I saw the root on NY Diesel #1, especially since I just planted it 5 days ago.

And I can honestly say that Rapid Rooter works, but with Mycorrhiza it works unbelievably well.

Needless to say, I used more when I put them in dirt just now. I put them under the Fluoros and if they look good tommorow morning, I'll be putting them in the veg room under the HIDs.

Hope that helps others that might be having trouble cloning.

And if there's still any confusion about the difference between a clipping and a clone. The ones that don't wilt when I put them under the HIDs are clones (hopefully all 6), everything else is clippings.

That NYD root is HUGE!
Thanks man, can you beleive that was a brand new clipping 5 days ago? NY Diesel 2 doesn't have 1 that big, but I think it might actually have more overall root. I definately found my favorite rooting method. At this rate, at least 4 of them will have outgrown the cups by this weekend. That Mycorrhiza aint no joke.

If anyone finds anything with more than 7 spores per gram, let me know asap. :weed:

1 litre water
30ml of 3% h2o2(hydrogen peroxide)
20ml alchohol
3ml wetting agent.

Thanks I tried in vain to find a nice simple recipe ... in usable units.

some of you may have already seen this thread where FDD is saying that supply and demand is now a problem in Calif. IOW there is more supply than demand and he can't sell his grow to the disp.

I posted we have the oppisite prob here and some one posted this

https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/289622-medical-marijuana-worthless-3.html#post3618444

It sure seems to be going to hell pretty fast wait till Rohmer hears that

Sprayed my plants big and small. They were looking like the were having a bubble bath. They look great and clean!

Got rid of the flying pests too. I will tell you if the mildew makes a comeback or not.

Everyone that was growing in secret is now growing more. They are the good growers cause they have experience. They are ahead of the curve and growing big. I know a guy that says he is doing about the same warehouse grow. He isn't mobbed up he is taking the risk like he did 10 years ago.

Everyone I have met while doing this has been above board and cool. Most are expensive but they try to give good product. (Except a dude named Matt on craiglist selling rootless clones. :wall: ripped me off.
That is why I like getting clones out of dirt so I can see the root for myself.)

Hey everyone, is root porn legal in this state? lol

I was only able to transplant 2 of the 7 plants, I ran out of FFOF. I think maybe the 5gal containers I was using and the new 10gal containers are measured differently some how. Maybe one is liquid gallons and one is dry gallons because I was able to make seven 5gal pots with 3 1/2 bags of FFOF, but the next 3 1/2 bags of FFOF only allowed me to transplant 2 of them into 10 gal containers. Oh well, at least I got the ball rolling.

The first picture of the Blueberry was taken on 12-27 when she was 16", and the next picture is the same Blueberry today and she's now 21". That's 5" in 10 days, not bad for a newbie growing in soil if I do say so myself :bigjoint:. I think the roots speak for themselves, and I still have 8 1/2 weeks to go.

I didn't take pics of the Durban Poison when I flushed last week, and I can't remember how big she was back then. But at 19" she's bigger now, that's for sure.

I couldn't take a pic of her side roots because I cut the 5gal container away (this was my first transplant) and I didn't take the old container off till she was in the new container. I think I messed up, I cut some of her roots while cutting away the old container, I hope she'll be OK. I guess the claims that Mycorrhiza helps with transplant shock is really going to be put to the test with her.

So now you know why I was so insistant on transplanting them into bigger containers.

I also think I'm gonna have to rearrange my grow room, those new containers really take up a lot of room. Oh well, it's the least I can do for my girls.

I also haven't treated the moms for mites yet. I treated the clones because I had to move them out of the veg room to make room for these 2 and I wanted my rooting station to stay mite free.

And I pulled all the old clippings out of the Rapid Rooter & found 2 more with roots. So with the Micorrhiza the Rapid Rooter is 8 for 9, and without the Micorhizza with standing water it's 0 for 50 :wall: lol Oh well, now I know.

Hope you like the pics

Don't feel bad, I got "unrooted clones" from the dispensory behind Canamed on Leetsdale, and the grower argued with me and told me that clippings and clones are the same thing. lol Most of the dispensories don't have a lot of experience.

And btw, if all goes well, I'll be in a warehouse by this time next year. It's a good goal to shoot for, at least in my opinion. :D
