Colorado Supply/ Demand issues REAL SOON!

I just watched a segment on 9 News about Colorado dispensaries and the number of patients. Wait till you hear this:

They said the CDPHE is backlogged with new applications for patients to the tune of 40,000 total apps. There are about 17,000 active now. Here's the BAD part:
Many counties are putting limits or moratoriums on any NEW dispensaries for over 6 months and imposing zoning violations on some existing ones.

There are over 700 dispensaries in CO right now, with 250-300 in Denver area alone. With no NEW outfits being able to open, and the number of NEW patients increasing, DEMAND will wipe out SUPPLY in no time flat. We are already seeing it.
Also, the lawmakers are still pushing that revised bill that limits caregivers to only having 5 patients! This is NOT good news, in any way, shape or form for MMJ patients.

...that would work. But since we know that not everyone can 'just grow their own' easily or safely, others have to help. I know a senior citizen, for instance who lives in a Condo with strict Condo /HOA rules and they would NEVER be able to get away with any grow. When you are a senior with nasty cancer it's even more of a chore. If only your answer were actually the solution for everyone. In reality it is not.

Man you are so in "In the loop". I just posted a thread a couple of days ago about my visits to some dispensaries last week in Denver and CO Springs. Shit man--you said running out in the near future-----How about in the next months!!!. One of the spots I hit had crumbs and small quantities of meds but that's it.. All the others were looking for quality meds and venders to meet the demands. I was concerned about over-saturation of dispensaries but current problem for dispensaries is staying stocked with quality meds. Yes they can grow their own as long as the caregiver numbers match the plant numbers but even if every dispensary was doing this they couldn't keep up the supply. Massive grows produce 20 to 100 pounds. Major dispensaries move that amount of meds in a couple weeks. It takes at least 10 weeks to produce quality Meds ready for consumption. You do the math---- Toss in that you really don't have a major outdoor season and it's still winter and man that adds up to a major shortage on the horizon. Mag you nailed it!!!

Just left CO. We are setting up a Dispensary in N Denver now and Warehouse as well. Attached. I will say that there are a lot of dispensaries that really need to be shut down. Many are running it as a hangout for stoners to come and get high and that is the exact thing that is going to cause the regulations to go through the roof.

Giant Pot leafs on your signs outside??? Unreal! how stupid can you be??? I was amazed at the unprofessionalism of some of these places. Also the lack of security or desire to make it into a much more "lounge" than it needs to be. Just give people quality medicine and a smooth and efficient way to get it.

All that will do is make privet caretakers more appealing.

At this point I don’t know why anyone would make a dispensary there caretaker. There ARE MANY GOOD Venders/Caretakers out there with top shelf product(That I know of!).

Its just dispensaries do not want to pay TOP SHELF wholesale prices. I just picked up some meds from my caretaker that a dispensary was lowballing on. The same product that they sell for $50 to $60 1/8th.

Its not that there not out there… Its that the Dispensaries are too greedy and look for a 100% markup on all there retail sales. There are a few that do not short cut. So Far (I.M.O.) Sunny Side on 38th has been GREAT! Never been disappointed with anything I have got from him. He Caps med sales at $50, and must keeps his good venders happy because they keep coming back…

There are more people gearing up for this market then I what we all know... I have a feeling in the next 3 to 6 months shortage will be the least of our problems.

Only time will tell.
