If you're in the private system you get excellent rebates and tax offsets to balance what you put in through the public system via your taxes. it's a given though that most of the wealthy have private health insurance so they don't have to pay the income surcharges.

They do reuse kidney dialyzer membranes. They say it is only used by the same patient but I don't believe that. Worse it can be washed by hand but by machine is better, which do you think they do? Coming to a hospital or dialysis center near you.
I can only talk of my own experiences and I've never had a problem with wait times, level of care, thoroughness of the doctors/nurses etc... I simply cannot relate to a situation where the impact of healthcare costs could potentially bankrupt an individual or the strain that kinda stress would cause.
