Comp Talk

Im on my dads waaay old eMac and will be for another 3 loong and boring weeks. I had a Dell inspiron laptop since 07, and it was pretty reliable up untill about six months ago. It started bugging out. I took it to get looked at and fixed up. But it just kept bugging out on me. Turns out the fans/cooling system stoped working and my GPU was literally frying all the other components. It overheated so bad, it was rendered unusable. I cant even get it to boot up , and neither could any of the techs i took it to. I killed my eighteen hundred dollar laptop in two years....

Alienware makes badass systems
My friend had one for a few years now that he bought with his FEMA check after hurricane Ike, or maybe it was hurricane Rita. anyway
Still runs the latest games pretty damn good.

doesn't matter what gpu you've got for crysis, you're gonna want more horsepower from your cpu than that if you want to play on decent res and settings. clock that sukka!

and alienware do indeed make rather badass machines, their pricing sysytem however, well they're a joke. $200 extra to have the 920 pre-overclocked. LMAO

the i7 920 has more than enough horsepower to run crysis.
my x2 6000+ runs it just fine with a geforce 9800gtoc from BFGtech.
on high.
1280x1024.
build your own machine... you will love it more.
