Compact dehumidifier

Whats happening guys, just wondering what kind of compact dehumidifiers people have for small grow spaces.

Its going into a 1x1m wide tent so dont need anything huge but its also going to be hooked up to a humidity controller so that cancels out anything with a digital interface on it because it wont kick on when the controller gets too high.

Have found this mini with a simple on on switch that should do just wondering if anyones used them before?Screenshot_20190408-225242.png

That looks a lot like one I bought a while back, is the brand pro breeze? It sucks and it sucks bad. In 3 nights it collected about a half ounce of water. Funny thing is the company keeps emailing me to see if I'm happy with it. It's getting returned. Just haven't got around to it.

Could be clever marketing or one of these are a knock of off the other. I'm certain they had to have been made by the same design. That was that blacked the light out. 15547309742882107702713727704653.jpg

I just want one that will help with the humidity spike at lights off. I only need it to work for about an hour.

that's what i use. i drilled and added a 90 deg elbow to the res and some tubing so it drains on it's own

look around pawn shops, i got a whirlpool 50 pint unit for 60 bucks, they usually go for 200+....been running for 2 years now...
a decent peltier unit ought to take care of your lights out spike, but then again, leaving your extraction fan on full for the first hour of lights out ought to do the same thing...

Those small units are basically useless, something like this will work, which you can get on Amazon.

One question, how bad is the level?
Pot can exist pretty well in a 60% humidity environment, that is until your buds have formed and then there is a small chance of bud rot with high humidity
When your bud is fully formed then try to bring it down to 50-55%, and you should be fine
Use fans to create a lot of air movement, that helps a lot with both heat and humidity

I'm using my extraction now to vent humidity. I have 7 plants in a 2 x 4 and one is taking up half that space. When the fan kicks on the tent sucks in. It's smashing the buds on my big girl.

That's the exact same tech as the small basically useless models you mentioned lmao.

I've got two of those probreeze models, the PB-03, I run both inside the tent @ lights out during flowering w/o issues. They put out minimal heat, just enough to keep my lights off temps up.

As for dehumidification, they're not powerful lol, but I do have to empty both of emm every 2 - 3 days.

I still run a 70pt compressor dehui outside the tent, the tent exhaust fan blows directly into it. However I leave it set to 70 RH and it usually only kicks on if it's rainy outside.

i just put a piece of tape over the led and let it run 24/7. it seemed like it was working fine, the res was always filled to where i had installed the drain.

Lol I took the tape off for the pic. I had to use a sharpie on the lights with tape to black it out. The lights work for sure. When my lights come back on I'm going to put it back in. I'm thinking it was me if everyone else says they work ok.

the only difference in any of them is the quality of the other components they use to make that^ work.....
and that ^ is limited by it's efficiency. a large conventional vapor compression unit is 5 times as energy efficient as a peltier unit. they're good for small spaces, they suck for anything much bigger than a closet...
in particular look at the "performance" paragraph....
