Yeah can most deffienatly trip on ambien. Its like your living in a dream. I used to take like 4-6 of those and trip balls.
I can vouch for that.. I've done it many times, its not really an overall enjoyable experience.. more of just weird.
Did a lot of experimenting with it with lots of witnesses to tell me what went on. Used to get plastered while playing counterstrike on ventrilo with friends.. they'd fill me in the next day..
1 pill and staying up is usually fairly effective, 2 pills can be devastating if taken with alcohol, and I would not recommend 3 (its a very powerful effect after a few hours, I can see it being very dangerous with more then 3). Around 1-2 hours you'll start to feel it. Call it a slight calming feeling at this point. By two hours your a little disoriented, possibly sleepy. By 4 your usually all kinds of messed up.
It lessens by about 8-9 hours (makes sense) but the full effects don't seem to go away till after you've slept.
Two
warnings if you are going to do it, DO NOT DRIVE. I don't know why, but for some reason this is a VERY common thing among people sleep walking with ambien. This also applies to people using it for recreation.. not sure why its a common urge, but I've done it myself. Also get faux-munchies I'll call it.. its not the same as weed, you're not actually hungry, but you feel the need to eat a bunch.
Second, if you do use it for fun.. do it very sparingly, despite what the commercial says it is
highly addictive when taken in large doses.. you'll find yourself unable to sleep later on. Think physical withdrawal.. don't take that much.
edit- Add a personal warning/story in here.. got really plastered on beer and ambien one time.. 2-3 pills i think.. ever heard of beer goggles? Ambien goggles are made of lead... completely opaque.
I remember talking to the chick.. I remember laying on couch with her, but I dont remember anything else.. at all. I answered one call from her the next day, only to find out the horror that had been commited.. had to just stop answering her phone calls..
