How exactly will these work? Prices on things? Do they have cardholders turning there meds into edibles and selling them to dispensary? What strands will they run?
Dont need to answer those questions but im confused how you can run something like this when you need a TON of options for consumers to want to go there. Not enough plants to supply enough of multiple multiple strands and have edibles, oils ect. They must have cardholders they know who grow and give the meds to the dispensary in edible form or bud form of different strands and quality. But thats illegal isnt it?

They can grow their own make there own edibles etc as well as buy from growers etc.Slater center is setting up 28k lighting.Prices wont be low like people think.
As a cardholder giving meds to a dispensary is there a limit to what you can give them considering you cannot take a "donation" because they are not a patient. Or is the state literally allowing people to "technically" gift meds when knowing they will get some sort of reimbursement...
If there will be open dispensaries that are knowingly taking money for money for meds than why cant a cardholder get legally reimbursed
If the state (people arresting us) know there are such loopholes allowing us to get arrested for doing something they are allowing, then why not change the laws around to letting cardholders take a donation from other cardholders. Or allow a caregiver to have ton of patients but only certain amount of plants ect...

if you are connected to the center through the DOH than compensation can be given and recieved. my understanding is it does not matter who is the patient and who is the caregiver, money and meds can be transferred back and fourth.

The centers are gonna wanna buy the meds silly cheap and the state will want you to fill out a 10-99 tax form on it at the end of the year,So what will you end up with for reimbursement when they turn around and sell to thier patients for 250-350..Never mind your on the books when the FEDS come and then they realize you did not pay federal taxes on the meds you sold them.Plus its still illegal federally to sell cannabis..I wouldn't want my 10 transactions on file when the feds decide to prosecute people that distributed cannabis to the centers..ILL PASS.

They will give you a 10-99 for the exact amount of money they payed you and send a copy to the IRS with your tax ID # or social security number if thats what they are doing. You don't dont file a 10-99 they do. So the IRS knows that you made that money, it doesnt specificly state what its for and you will have to pay federal tax. I send out the same 10-99's for trades that do subcontracting for me, plumber gets the same form as the roofer.
Also you can't write off any expenses at all because it is considered an illegal business by the Feds. Normal businesses pay taxes on the net amount after equipment, rent, electricity, etc. Compassion centers pay taxes on the gross sales. This tax law has been held up by the supreme court and is putting alot of centers out of business in CA and CO. A quick search of medical mj tax laws and you'll find all kinds of examples of the feds closing them by taxing them out of business. If they pay you 200 and sell it for 300 they pay taxes on the 100. Without issuing the 10-99 they pay taxes on 300 so I'm sure they are going to issue them to growers they paid.

No shortage of hearsay, speculation, and conjecture with these compassion centers.
And are we as corrupt as Cali? Really? Check out San Bernardino - police LTs taking home $389,700 in salary and benefits while the city is dead bankrupt and the unemployment in town is 15%. The place is turning into a slum, but all the corrupt hacks at town hall are raking in the cash. In other areas of Cali they blow through the budget paying people who don't work to continue to not work, and they send the invoice to people who go to work and pay taxes. In RI we incrementally phased out what was a strong economy the slow way over the last century by passing laws and hiking taxes to get more money to pay for the people who work these fabulous State jobs (who - lets face it - could really be doing something else with their talents besides pushing paper around). In California they have undergone a sea change in 20 years, a fraction of the time it took us to kill a state economy, and half of the population has fled the state. My best friend grew up there in LA (now lives in Newport), and today you can't recognize the place. So for Cali the corrupt hacks and their tour of raping and pillaging the state treasury is threatening the state's vitality much more quickly. Not saying we're any better, the states are quite similar politically, just saying I think it hits the fan in Sacramento before it does in Providence.
